So I’m waiting for a friend around 5ish and we hear a loud crash followed by yelling. We flip on the scanner and hear something about a hit & run so we walk outside and see this old haggard pickup smashed head on into a guardrail on the Harlem road offramp to Indian Church. Totalled for SURE, couldn’t find the camera sorry. He tried taking off after hitting another truck but failed.
Anyways, we watch him fail his sobriety test and he gets tossed into the cop car. We walk back and take a ride down Harlem and sure enough the one lane was covered in shattered glass and debri a 1/4 mile down the road but not one officer or volunteer crew cleaning up or directing traffic but they already had his truck hooked up to a tow truck.
