After goin to Calgary on the weekend i noticed that my cruise control wasnt working. The on button lights up and every thing but when you press the set button it doesnt engage. Does anyone know what it could be? I did change the clutch over winter so i thought it might be a tranny sensor for 4th and 5th gear but the speed governer still works so…???

“there are 2 switches attached to your brake pedal assembly. one is your brake light switch the other is your ASCD cut switch make sure that the switch is closed when the pedal is released and open when it is pressed. To determine which pne it is take a paper clip and unplug one of them and jump the paper clip in the harness connector. if the brake lights light up its the other switch, if they dont light up its that switch thats for the ASCD (cruise control) When you figure out which switch it is use an ohm meter and probe the pins in the switch with the pedal released it should have continuity. With the pedal pushed it should NOT have continuity. If this switch tests ok you now need to do the same test on the one on your clutch pedal. There will be only one switch in that same location on the clutch pedal. I suspect one of those 2 switches is open when both pedals are up. if you find that the case try adjusting them into the pedal abit. The barrels ob both switches should almost be in contact with the rubber pad on the pedals when the pedals are up. if the adjustment does not work replace which ever switch is open.”
