CSCS Subaru Crash

scandinavian flick fail?

at least no one slammed into him after.

but yeah that seems really unsafe… way too many cars too close together and no helmets? this isn’t supposed to be wheel to wheel

In all the track days at dunville ive been at i have never seen a line of cars like that

You either have a busy life and just do not have enough free time to be a jackass as much as you would like or you are just a jackass. My guess probly the first but hey I have been wrong before!

when did rollovers become safer than side swiping?

Driver error. My first track experience was at TMP and all I could think of coming out of that last turn and onto the front straight was " don’t hit the pit wall". This driver clearly sucks.

lol… made failblog.

i can’t tell what’s worse… being mad at the video or taking the time to log in and make silly comments on failblog about this video… or being the guy that found it on fail blog…

either way… helmets should be mandatory from now on for the lapping.

it’s still a great event, probably the best all around event since you get lapping, time attack (rfid based), decent drifting, drag racing, and the car show part… and it’s only 40 minutes from anything that matters in Ontario. if i had my s14 i would have been there on the track… though not in that novice group and defintely with a helmet.

until you have a better event to go to i’d chill out on the cynicism and help make it better. unfortunately, we do not have better events than this what with dunnville be closed. even still… i maintain that this is better than a lapping day because it draws a lot of good people out with varied interests.

people looooove to hate on imperfection…

Some snaps my gf caught.

Cut off the roof, put in a cage, a flat piece of Lexan for the wind screen, and have a fun track only roadster.

I still speculate that would not have happened if he were driving LHD.

there is imperfection and then there is asking for an accident. the way they set this up and run it they were asking for it and only lucky that it was not a lot worse.

Not regulating helmets and such … stupid
Clearly using a barrier that was engineered by a man named cletus up in the middle of nowhere… dangerous and stupid
Getting some ricers and retards off the streets and onto a somewhat legit track/event… smart.

This coulda been alot worse but they will learn from it (fingers crossed) and will hopefully not get smashed for this one slip up. We can bash all day long but its like the only organized event that doesn’t suck ass through a straw in Ontario.

I think the regulations should be beefed up a bit though.

They need to start applying some higher safety standards to the CSCS events. The hay bales were put there to counteract the fact that people would be dumb enough to plow into them (sometimes by accident), i guess they never realized some people would be dumb enough to turn the hay bale into a half pipe.

A good start would be to actually put up a fence to protect the spectators because if there was no hay bales there, they would have been showered with broken glass when the car impacted on the wall.

The video kinda reinforces my reasoning on why i stopped going to CSCS events. It just seemed to get a little worse year after year and I’m sure everyone remembered the civic burnout wheel fire.

only sometimes by accident? LOL

Anytime I see a hay bale I consider it a personal challenge to see how far I can get the hay to fly, by impacting the bale at a high rate of speed.
