Sounds like you need a new axle, or else pull the inner cv joint off of your old transmission. Definitely do not mix and match your CV joint components, they are designed with certain tolerances to function properly.
I’ve been through all this myself and it’s hell. I’m with brett. get the ones designed for that transmission.
