i wanna get a egt before i finish my new set up… but i want something accurate…

i would love to have this becuase im sick or guages… and i can mount this a lot of places out of the way instead of guage…

other then this… i DON T even know how to read it!

im sure every cars different right? and i know coolers better… but i need some colors or something on it:D

on a common turbo car whats normal temps? say cruising vs wot vs say city driving?

and whats the best place for the probe? ive read in the exhuast mani and others say in the down pipe right below the turbo…

i know auto meter claims to put it below the turbo but they suck anyway… i had a offer to get one for free but i didn t wanna even think about installing it and breaking like ive heard from a ton of different people…

just looking for some info…

The digital FJO gauge is a very nice piece. I’ve seen one in person, and I would vouch for them.

egt’s are differnt varying on car. different properties such as a/f, valves, head flow, etc change egt temps. if u dont know where u should eb sitting at egt wise, itis best to have a wideband o2 so u are sure ur at a safe a/f reading. as too rich/lean of an a/f reading skews an egt temp reading, as does the placement of the gauge.

make sure the probe is placed as close to the head as u can get in the exhaust manifold in the runner that gets teh hottest

just dont buy an autometer EGT… autometer = teh junk.

the autometer that is reworked to read the .700-.900v is pretty nice IMO. lot more exact.
