It was just in business first there’s most likely going to be a new Marriott courtyard hotel going downtown that will house a dinobbq
I read about Benderson bringing a Marriott Courtyard downtown this morning. I did not see anything about Dino but it would be great either way.
They looked at the old 78* location on transit a year ago or so, but said it was too pricey
Anyone who waits more than 10 min for Dino BBq is a fucking idiot
WTF!! Guess that didn’t last long. The article did not have that stated originally when I read it this morning.
I heard Bass Pro is coming to Buffalo
Too soon!
lol
And Ikea
I would love this
I thought Ikea released a statement basically saying they didn’t want to move to Buffalo.
Ikea USA has a minimum population requirement for the metro areas they would consider for a new store. Buffalo doesn’t meet their minimum requirement.
IIRC the requirement was 1 Million, but they use some odd measurement other than actual census data for a metro (Buffalo Metro in 2010 was around 1.1 Million).
EDIT: The requirement is 2 million in a “media market”
.
Right to franchise the IKEA Concept is only granted in new countries with no IKEA operations present.
what is the measurement 1 million and not Buffalo? LOL
It’s too close to Burlington anyway, all the Canadians would just shop down here.
There’s 3 Ikeas in the GTA. From what one of the employees told me, Burlington is the “small” store.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Syracuse-based Dinosaur Bar-B-Que restaurant chain has set its sights on yet another location, this one in Buffalo. Dinosaur Bar-B-Que officials have confirmed the move.
The company revealed its plans at this weekend’s Taste of Buffalo event. They say they hope to be up and running in the Queen City by fall of 2013.
“We’ve been trying for a while, and things are falling into place, and we got a spot in mind, but we’re on the five yard line,” said Scott Stevenson, Dinosaur BBQ Kitchen Director.
Dinosaur Bar-B-Que opened its first location in Syracuse in 1988. Other restaurants have since opened in Rochester, Harlem, Newark, New Jersey, and the Capital Region.
