Dinosaur BBQ coming to Buffalo?

I’ve also been to Al-E-Oops out in Lancaster which was pretty good.

Personally I have only been to the Syracuse and Rochester locations. Syracuse is the original and maybe I was skeptical ahead of time, but Rochester’s location just didn’t quite measure up. It was still good and I would definitely go back to that location, but it has me wondering how well the Buffalo location will stack up against Syracuse. I guess you just can’t top the original when it comes down to it, but we shall see if that changes…

Yeah you’ve got to do some serious branding to make it. If you’re just a restaurant that serves slow cooked pork with a tangy sauce you won’t make it. Half the reason I like Dinosaur so much is because it’s a dirty biker southern blues bar.

I like Dino. when theres work in rochester i volunteer to do it so i can stop at Dino.
I went to BW’s a while ago food was great, service so so

^yeah BWs is delicious. Never been to Kentucky Greg’s

I ate at Kentucky Gregs all the time when it was on Southwestern if that is the one I am thinking of. They had Southern fried catfish that was amazing. Also, their gumbo was delicious!

the only kentucky greggs that is still open is on george urban about 3 miles from my house lol. The gumbo ROCKS. BW’s is also tasty, but yeah the service there is mediocre.

That’s certainly a big part of the appeal, especially when there’s a band playing.

F you guys, now I want BBQ.

I like meat.

Damn now I’m thinking BBQ for dinner…

If you’re ever in the village of Angola there is an amazing BBQ joint called desperados. I highly recommend it.

I wonder if there has ever been an internet thread about BBQ that wasn’t 90% I like that other place better?

Oh I love Dino BBQ but desperados is about 90 min less of a drive.

+1 on Brickyard. Better food than Famous Dave’s.

Well, that’s just like every topic on here…a debate, lol.

At least it hasn’t gotten to

“I love place x”
“Me too itz the awesomes”
“Soooo good”

“Place X fucking sucks, Go to mr.ribbyq’s bbq palace for REAL BBQ…fggts”

Either way BBQ places all have pretty poor business plans. If you are going to target such a small market keep your overhead low… like lemonade stand low.

This is probably how Smokin Tom’s has survived, it is basically a shack. And it is way better than all those places you guys mentioned.

How do burger places survive? How do pizzerias survive?

Plenty of places out there serve only one type of food (with multiple variations) and do just fine.
