dirt bike is pissin me off

Now if its a bottom end gasket. Ur gonna have to crack the case. Where if u take it to a shop. Ur lookin at some $$$$$$$$$$$$

no, use regular auto tranny fluid, same shit and alot cheaper.

true. I use good shit in my offroad vehicles lol.

it’s the same shit you just pay more.

so you guys are saying that there should be no oil what so ever in the bottom of the crank? because even when i pulled the cylinder wall off the first time there was a ton of oil at the bottom of the crank. when i spun the crank it would shoot up in the air.

wouldnt this mean that it should have been shooting oil in the first place before i rebuilt the top end?

I’d have to look at the bike. Its like calling a mechanic and saying " I hear a noise … What is it, how much to fix it, and how long before i can have it back? " You gotta really look. It maybe a seal. Your piston might be fuked up. Gasket in the bottom end maybe gone . Or your crank maybe walking

And u still never answered if its oil or mixoilgas

if you were to put 2.1 qts in a .8 qt system what would happen? would it spew oil from the exhaust becaus its got to go somewhere?

aight im goin to bed. im gonna drain oil tomorrow and put in .8 qts and clean the exhaust out and see if it still spews oil.

there’s ur problem U put way 2 much oil in ur engine

i would imagin that its straight oil because i still have the same tank of mix from before i did the top end on it. and it didnt smoke before i did work on the bike.

its alot of oil shooting out. literally shooting out. my tail section was covered in less then 30 seconds of running. and it billllows white smoke.

i think what happened is the bike was sitting forever. you bought it, rode it, the seal was old like me and didn’t want to work any more, so it said fuck you i ain’t doing it. and took a crap. wasn’t anyone’s fault, although you should have changed the oil.

I had some moron do that when i worked for schulz. He had a rm250. Put 2 full quarts in the crank. I didnt even think of that. Drain that shit and u maybe ok

why would you put so much oil in it? lol i gues i didn’t read that part, but still those are two comepletly seperate case. the gear oli should not be able to get in the crankcase anywhere except the seal. i don’t know hondas very well, but if the are like a suzuki, it could be coming up and making it’s way through the powervalves.

yea i think thats his problem. Ive seen it done a few times. I know a kid near my brothers had a kx125 did it. Was bout to junk it. My bro picked it up. Flushed it and it was fine

just to weigh in real quick…the jetting on the bike seemed to be right on. i fired the bike up and messed w/ it the night before it was bought and it started right up and idled and revved clean w/ no spewing out the exhaust whatso ever. i actually brought the gas over to the seller so he didnt have to make a new batch of mix. it was Klotz R50 @ 32:1 mixed w/ 94 octane. Mack what mix and ratio were u running in it? aslong as u r close to those specs, then u can rule jetting bein off out, as one of the problems cause it ran crisp on my fuel. i still think the ring situation and the fact that the cylinder may need looked at from the original break could be factoring into the problem. also 2 quarts of gear oil in the bottom end is not good…drain that shit and put in the required amount (which should be written right near the oil-fill hole) . see if anything changes then…if not, then somethin is still wrong internally.

we already found out what the problem was. He put 2.8quarts of oil in a .8quart crankcase. Its shooting the oil out of the case.

wholy shit!!

2.8 quarts

mac why didnt you just call me and ask…

and reused and old ring? someone shouldn’t be working on a bike unsupervised. lol

ok, but what about the fact that the bottom of the piston broke, originally and shavings were seen when the plug was pulled?? did he say when he put it back together that the cyl sleeve wasnt messed up? i dont see how it wouldnt be. the shavings would have to pass between the piston and the cyl wall, right? also, was the gear oil not changed after it blew up? or was all that 2 quarts just added to the existing oil that was in it? also, the re-using of a ring is def not good.

holy crap where did all that come from? i wasn’t told about the shavings.
