might just need to change the silencer packing…it might be saturated w/ oil.
thats waht i was thinking. this is project dont spend much money. so im just gonna runit til the oil burns out. :eek3:
well the thing is, the packing will never dry out or burn the oil out. it’ll only get worse. if u r on a budget its not a huge deal, the bike will run the same for the most part… things u may notice are:maybe slightly worse power but not enough to even notice, the exhaust note will be slightly louder and it will still spit black out of the silencer. so get it running good first, then u can change the packing later on down the line. itll prob run somewhere around $30 to replace it.
if your to cheap to go buy that, try using the pink insulation. i’ve done it before many years ago.

just get some insulation and wrap it around the core of your silencer. put masking tape around it in one spot. then just slide it back into the outside part.
Packing is cheap, like $10. I have some at my house.
i rode honda’s and suzuki’s there all the same they all break man and i know you know it from riding and so do i from riding but i rode them all and will say honda and suzuki’s were my best of choice
