i try to carry as much as humanly possible b/c people are stupid and why shouldn’t i carry if the criminal is gonna carry too. the crime rate in texas has been on a steady decline when it comes to weapons used in the commission of a crime b/c they don’t need permits to carry and anyone could fire right back at you if you are a criminal looking for an easy buck. even criminals value their lives and rarely put themselves into situations that would warrant an equal or elevated show of force by their victim.
i think its shitty that there are places like college campuses, post offices, etc. and such that make it illegal to carry your register firearm when you have a state carry permit. all that means is that only people who don’t care for the law will carry onto those properties knowing that everyone else is probably following the law and is not packing a weapon. easier pickings for criminals and that doesn’t make much sense.

I think it’s shitty, that I can’t go to Cabela’s in Wheelnig and carry. I mean there is a federal backround check that has to be done, BEFORE, I get my PA carry permit, why isn’t there a national permit? And whyshouldn’t my permit be good in every state that has concealed carry?
It is about preserving state’s rights, which makes sense. The part that doesn’t make sense is that a law abiding citizen should even need a permit to carry a gun in any state. The 2nd Ammendment has been violated. The right has been infringed. Just because guns aren’t totally illegal…yet, doesn’t mean we haven’t abandoned the Constitution.
None of the states that border PA reciprocate, but NC as well as a few others do. Yeah, it doesn’t make much sense to me either.
