ECM Re-programming

This is about a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder LE with ~57,000 miles.
It has a bad O2 sensor, i can change the O2 sensor myself but, the ECM needs to be reflashed after the O2 is changed (stupid nissan…).

I went to autozone, and it threw these codes

  • P1167 (Heated O2 Sensor 2) ???
  • P0159 (Rear O2S, Bank 2) Response time too high…
  • P0158 (Rear O2S, Bank 2) Voltage is too high…

I could go to the stealership, but i don’t want to get ripped off.
They charge $80 to tell me the same thing Autozone told me. I can’t justify spending $80 for something thats going to take 2 minutes to do. The reprogramming would be extra!! $200 or so.

There is a TSB out on this

Apparently warranty doesnt cover this.

Can anyone reprogram the ECM for me?
What else can i do?

Thanks

U dont need to reprogram anything…all u need to do is turn a screw on the ECU…to reset it…reset does not = reprogramming…or anyone with an obdII scanner can reset and clear the codes

dude just put the sensor in it and be done with it.

that too…the ECU will eventually clear itself after it completes a cycle
