yea, an extremely compact, almost pocket sized fully operational laptop for sub $200 is extremely gay. what idiot would ever buy that ?
edit: re-read, sub $400, still fucking great imo.
thank you
Actually they say it’s more like $400. But still a good buy if thats what you are in the market for.
yeah i think its super practical for doing minor shit like checking email and surfing the web on the go and i could never complain about carrying it.
ive always wanted a really small laptop
reminds me of that one 7" sony or toshiba laptop, minus the mega price tag, and probably a fuck load faster
yeah, with the SSD, this thing boots in 15 seconds
If you travel alot, you will want a ultra portable laptop, and this thing might be nice.
When your running around airports, you will absolutely hate lugging around your full sized laptop bag. Trust me it sucks.
When you get to the hotel, all you want to do is get on the net for a minute, and check some directions and stuff. But you don’t want to do it on your cell phone.
This would be perfect for alot of people like that (including myself).

i was thinking the same thing. cell phones screens are annoying and too time consuming to actually get anything done on.
I would assume as well that this thing can get to the command line for ssh sessions on the go, which for unix people, rocks.
Most excellent.
My boss has one. I was playing with it yesterday. Pretty much as minimal as you can get… and to me, would serve no real purpose other than browsing the internet.
Not worth the cash, but with its ability to have two usb devices and an external monitor, would be a pretty cool Internet Kiosk station, easily hidden pretty much anywhere.
Oh, and you cant set any type of power settings. I wanted to close the lid but have it stay on for the external monitor, but it doesnt. There is also no way to set it.
It all depends on what someone would use it for… but I didn’t like it.
Oh and there IS NO COMMAND LINE POSSIBILITY.

There has to be…
If you can get to the CLI on IPhones you can get to the CLI on this…
yeah, and if not, reinstall an OS that does have that ability.
There has to be some way to enter a command into the OS, and if you can , just enter xterm, and voila, command line. almost all linux distros have ssh by default

agreed, there has to be a way to do it.
and I could actually use one of these. It’s a great value for the $$$
I find laptops to be pretty annoying to work on a lot of times, so mine has never come close to seeing heavy use. This would make an astounding replacement.

You can just fuck with the boot loader and make it boot to single user mode or something fun…
tsure beats spending 1500 bucks on a super mobile dell…
this is exactly what i want!!!
this looks like a good present for my GF, she needs a basic laptop for collegee
