DSM pulled a 323 HC ppm at idle, limit is 200, everything else was fine. Any ideas, legal or illegal to get a pass, shoot me a pm.

Cat is present and accounted for, just not sure if it actually does stuff. I’m gonna try that “guaranteed to pass” crap, and if it still fails, I’ll just say fuck it and garage it till next winter, since it’s almost spring anyway and I won’t have to drive the POS.

How do I justify hot rod? Is pointing under the hood and saying “Look, it says Mitsubishi on the engine, but on the back of the car it says Eagle!” enough?

if it’s at, say, a CT, they will require a greater standard of proof than that

my buddy got his e test done at ct. he had a 2.5 rs with a sti swap. they tested it as a hot rod.
sho them the vins# if they have a problem. say its a evo motor or somthing
I’ll try the vin route, but you do realize all the other cars you named are swapped, and mine’s factory turbo? I do have a JDM motor, but it’s not as drastic of a swap as those scenarios.
