Engine Build

He doesn’t want that, stop trying to justify your T67, not everyone wants tub loads of power.

lol…a T67 on a KA will spool at like what? 4000-4500RPM? 2.5K of power isnt my idea of practical. Think of what it will be like on a 2.0L. Thanks but no thanks.

I guarantee my setup will be faster around a track than a 600hp T67 240. If you are into 200+km highway runs than I understand your need for that otherwise have fun lighting the tires up anytime time you step into it.

I actually went for a ride in Ivan’s (you know the famous 95 KA 240) with 800hp-ish and he had an auto, it was still laggy as shit but when it hit look out. He used the car for drag racing only so I understood the purpose. Oh and slicks were on that car even on the street otherwise it was useless.

LOOKS GOOD. any pics of the head? are you running oversize valves? did you port the intake and exhaust of just the exhaust side? head pics are sexy, need head pics, need head pics now!!! lol

peace

Last year my car made 441. At Dunnville, other than the back straight…it was useless. This year I am changing up my setup an looking for 300rwhp…maybe 350 tops

That’s looking really nice Peter, keep posting more pics of your car… I wanna see more updated pics!

I am not trying to justify my T67 set up!!! If I had a SR20 I would used a GT35R. I had the T67 with a 93 exhust side and boost was coming in around 4000rpm yes it was laggy, but I know how to drive the car, this year I am going to run 68 exhust side so boost will be much faster. I am into drag racing, so my setup will be alittle bigger.

Anyway your build is sweet!!! did you do dual valve springs? Also did you balance your parts? I hope you did.

Here you go. Yes valves are oversized, by 1mm. Both intake and exh have been ported. Full Ferrea valvetrain, Im sure I could try to rev the shit out of this motor but id probably bust a trans or throw a rocker arm. Besides, Ive got my Honda for 8500rpms.

Sexy…

So hot. How much did the head work cost you?

I guess you could say that Peter is ahead of the game now.

Man, that engine is beautiful, looks liek sick setup for a useable track/drift car. Sick.

respect. head pics are always sexy. good luck with the rest of the build. hope you have a nice ECU to tune that bad boy.

peace

i believe they cut the top of the cylinders so when u want to take the pistons out, the rings dont get stuck, its something to do with that

peter you dirty bastard thats so sexy, i’ll send you mine and you can do it ? haha i want to make 300 wheeeeeel :frowning:

Petey lookin nice man. Thats what I noticed with my 4G63 rebuild. Wasn’t crazy but the engine was friggin smooth again and loved the boost. It was faster at lower boost than before LOL.

I might go down a similar path Dave @ Headgames offered to do up a RB head with Ferrea guts and I have Tomei on the hook for internals. But I didn’t know a local place that would be good.

Wasn’t it Leitner & Bush before?

I thought you already got your head done at Headgames Dave… I remember reading the article…

Ya that was just phase 1…I still need to get more done.

I am just rambling about the engine build… I am very far away from making this happen LOL

Head job was a freebie since I know Dave @ headgames very well, problem was it took almost a year to get done because like most things free, paid work comes first.

Dave, I think Gord was in business with Leitner a long time ago but now he runs his own shop.

Nice build man, but I was wondering where’s this machine shop located around? Is it far from etobicoke?

Let me know, Thanks!

Thats fuckin’ beautiful man.
