yeah i was thinking the same thing, i did go buy some rubber grommets a couple days ago i just havent installed them yet
How is this “wire tuck” shit done… just cut harnesses and extend wiring so it is long enough to hide in the fender walls/ bumper support etc?
where is the engine harness ran, along the front subframe?
I really want to get rid of my talon and buy another integra
well im buying a pre-tucked engine harness from chase bays because i dont have the time to do one because it takes a extremely long time to do it the right way
fender tuck was done by pulling the harness through from the engine bay, then measure how far up you need to cut and leave enough to pull through to the fenders…i put the headlight back in and the corner light and the horn, then plugged the individual plugs in and extended
i cant really explain it too well haha
if you want to come over and check it out tomorrow night lmk man
Sure i might take you up on that
ill give you a call or text after i get out of work, slonismo is coming over too to help out for a little bit
tonight we shaved everything that i sprayed purple out of the engine bay and slapped some bondo over what we shaved
we only were out there for a couple hours because even with the propane heater we were freezing in this 5 degrees BS buffalo weather
engine bay should be ready for paint after we sand down the bondo and primer everything…pics soon to come
I’d go with a Rywire harness. I’ve seen some posts where Chase is getting a bit shady/over his head.
i called and spoke to chase and he said he would make sure that he got the harness to me in 4-6 weeks…its not going to take him nearly as long to complete the harness because im getting the cheapest one
i am going to call rywire too to see how much and how long it takes for what i want
didnt nick (the one who sold the car to sobo) have a rywire harness and it was completely butchered and took like 2 years to make lol?
Why are wire tucks so hard?
Just extend some wires… there’s no thinking involved.
its not that they are hard, they are just extremely time consuming and my crx is my dd come may when my winter beater turns into my brothers dd lol, so i dont have the time to do it
im not that efficient at doing that shit either, it takes me forever lol… theres a bunch of converting that you have to do to run an obd1 motor in a obd0 car so ill let someone else do it so i dont mess it up and then i dont have a car lol
update
thnaks bro, engine bay will be done and primered within the week and ready for paint…i am ordering the motor from toronto jdm and picking up the innovative mounts that i oredered from swerve within the week or two also
everything should start moving along faster as the weather warms up a bit and i have some more of my parts
Looks nice!
Puch, i may want your rims… Im kind of undecided. I want 15s , but i may roll with 16s. Idk yet
Ryan are you gonna get the PIC selects or the Apex ones?
I have KYBs and springs now, and i was thinking about ground controls because you can lower the car over 3.5inches, but i wanna see how other coilovers are before i buy something.
This thing gonna be done for carisile?
that is the deadline, it has to be done for carlisle or i will be there and it wont
but i think ill get it done…i want the selects but i wont have the money for them till the summer so ill be rolling on the POS setup i have now
Are you on stock springs?
no tokico struts and springs i believe, they suckkkkk
still miss it so much!!!
i want your del sol, i see you drive it all the time
but i wont get rid of the crx lol, with the kind of money that im putting into it idk if i will ever get rid of it
we got to meet up sometime this summer man and cruise
looking good ryan, keep it up
