i know right? im extremely happy with it so far…i asked them to send me there nicest out of them all and i think they did haha
toronto jdm says that all the b series shiftlinkages are the same except for the del sol…so they sent me an eg6 shiftlinkage for my crx???
they deffinatly arnt the same right? i thought the eg6 shiftlinkages are like an inch too long, am i right?
so now i have to either A: send back the linkage for a EF one or B: buy an aftermarket shift linkage because i dont want that welded bullshit haha
im pretty sure im right but can someone verify for me that the eg6 linkage does not equal an EF linkage…im not trying to bash on toronto jdm at all because they sent me a really nice motor and the customer service is good, but i told them i needed a shiftlingake for a crx, they are willing to exchange it for me if i send it back but shipping to canada is a BITCH
well. there were only civic obd1 jdm bseries motors, so thats why they sent u the civic one
here they only had del sols with the b16s
every swap requires a 94-01 integra linkage. ls,rs,gs, or gsr or 99-00 civic si linkage.
since there is no mention of del sol, i would believe u cant use one.
and i would also assume it is the same for 99-00 as eg6. so u should be able to use it right?
people look for dc ones and em1 ones because they are a lot easier to find than jdm eg6 shift linkages
with an ef , you need the ef specific b16 shift linkage, if they dont have one you can order one from hasport etc
nice, just got a motor in from them also and its pretty damn clean, plan on doing a write up about my experience with them as soon as the car is up and running (b18c gsr with lsd into 00 si)

thats what i thought, if i have my motor in the car before i get my harness from chase i will try and put the linkage they gave me in just to make sure, otherwise im going to order a avid linkage from swerve

I have a crx b16 linkage for sale. Mine is welded and there is nothing wrong with them. can beat it for $40.
Wicked Innovation sells a really nice linkage. It’s welded, but they have a “zero-play” mod that replaces the U-joint.
Tom and Matt are both really cool guys, both Honda enthusiasts. Tom is building an H22 CRX (if he can ever get some time to work on his own car) and Matt has a built & boosted GSR engine in his. It’s best to give them a call, and tell 'em Scott sent you.
thanks guys, i havent decided what im doing yet but i will let you know
im out in the garage now degreasing my motor and painting it high heat flat aluminum
the motor is ready for paint and i started spraying a little bit and realised that the paint i bought was aluminum and not flat aluminum, so it looks like a cheap chrome
ill buy the correct paint tomorrow or monday then pictures will be up
I spent hours cleaning my b16 back in the day with a wirebrush attachment and air tool, came out like brand new.
yep, i spent 3 hours going over it with a wire brush…it looks good but im going to paint it anyways

just realised i need to buy one of these, all of this little shit adds up in a hurry…i hope i have this done by may
hey man, nice build, good luck with everything i will check if i got a EF linkage for you sometime today
i can’t wait to see yours too!
LMK about that flare fitting
i hope you have better luck getting a harness quick unlike many other people i know, hell my one friend it took 8 months and chase wouldnt refund his money after a couple months
me too, im getting the most basic one, i called him and he said he promised me he would have it to me by early to mid april
did your buddy get a harness that was very involved?
will do…breetime said he would do it too, maybe both of you can come over hahaha
thanks man
i painted the motor today inbetween classes, i think it came out pretty good, i didnt spend too much time on the back or under the motor since it will be hard to see when its in the car and with the intake manifold on.
i dont think it was 100% dry when i took the pictures but the paint should dull down a little bit once it is dry all the way, im going to take some paint thinner on a rag and clean up the plastic pieces and rubber that isnt suppose to have paint too
im going to strat putting everything back on the motor next time i have time
What did you clean that with before you sprayed it?
