coming along pretty good there bud.
i cleaned it with grease lightning i think with a littl ewire brush for like 4 hours :roflpicard:
thanks bud
the car should be done when i want it to be but if i dont get the harness on time then it wont be, pretty much if he says he will have the harness done in 4-5 weeks like he told me he would then the car will be done by the 3rd week in april…thats the goal
Did you use anything between the degreaser and paint?
i sprayed it with water and air dried it with my compressor, let it sit over night to let it dry some more, then sprayed it today
I hope it stays on, use an evaporative wax/grease remover before paint next time.
good to know i hope it stays on too…thanks
Why did you just use the stock d harness and just buy a vtec sub harness for 60 bucks
because i want a wire tuck, its just something ive always wanted to do to my car and i dont have the time to do one
looking good so far esford. glad to see youre taking your time and doing it right.
i hate hearing when people cut corners.
and i like this project a lot better than that pos civic you had in high school haha
haha yeah that civic was going to be my project to return it back to stock with a motor swap until i found this car
i had an hour after school before i had to go to work, so i put the intake manifold back on along with everything else on the back of the block, i need to buy some hardware to install my cable to hydro conversion…i may go get the hardware later and install that
pictures of the progress i had today will be up later tonight
also the harness will be ordered saturday, so i better have it in 4-5 weeks or ill be :jays:
instead of ordering through chase, why not rywire? i know he does excellent work and no customer problems
+1 for rywire.he basically showed chase verything he knows so go withh the man Ryan aka rywire
ok, i called rywire and its a little more expensive by ~100 bucks but he said that he actually gets his harnesses done unlike chase and i started to LOL…he said he would get me a harness within a month, so im going to go with him
i hate to spend the extra cash because im running out of it…but if the car gets done by middle of april ill be so happy
im placing my order with him monday, so thanks guys for giving me the heads up with chase
no problem man, i just know what its like to pay good money for something and never get it, or get it so late that you dont really care about it anymore
yeah man thanks again, i know how it feels…its sucks
ryan at rywire told me that chase was paying people back with the money he got from new customers :roflpicard:, thats a sketchy way of doing business
a lot of shops are doing that nowadays. Some of the big name shops in the LSX world are taking a shit in this economy, shitty to see.
yeah deffinatly not cool, well rywires websited says that the harnesses usually are done 2.5 weeks after ordered, if thats the case we willl be seeign some major progess after paint in a couple weeks  im excited to hear it start lol
ya basically he is borrowing money from peter to pay paul
just because your good at fab etc doesnt mean your good at handling a business
yeah exactly, he should pay someone thats a business major to handle all of his money and do most of the paperwork/customer service so he can be in the shop instead of answering the phone all day
i taped off the baffle on the valve cover, sandblasted it, put it in the parts washer for 30 minutes just to make sure there wasnt any blasting particals and painted it gloss black…i love the way it came out because since i did no hand sanding it kept most of the ripple effect the stock valve covers come with
i cant find my camera right now, but ill have a couple pictures up of it as soon as i find it
