Had a '15 2500 LTZ 2500 gasser today. The ram is a much better truck interior wise, mpg wise and how it looks.
I am glad I bought an LT and not an LTZ , the seats are a lot less comfortable in the leather.
You can get a 2015 2500 cummins Laramie for like 52k.
I have my eyes on a 2014 1500 Laramie when I get home from sabbatical. Anyone have real world mpg experience with those?
5.7 hemi with 8spd gear box. 3.21 rear end
I’ve driven around 60 miles so far. I really like it glad I made the switch. Wish it had a little more trq down low but it rips pretty good up top. Already ordered set of morimoto xb led fog lights. Direct replacement, plug and play.

my 8000lb F250 diesel gets like 21mpg on the highway and a solid 16-17 around town. I will never buy another gas truck. That being said… the new ecoboost F150 is a solid piece, can’t really go wrong with it.
Had a eco boost and was very disappointed with the gas mileage. Traded it for a Chevy 5.3 and could not be happier.
I still think the EcoBoost is or hit or miss truck. I wouldn’t risk my money on it, the 5.0 is pretty consistent though.
The interior of the Ford rocks, over all I’d recommend a Ram.
Post pictures of the new truck.
Here’s before and after pics of the F-150 I picked up. The wheels, grill, and the bumper around the plate have been painted black. Paint was done in a booth and clear coated, non of this rattle can crap. Also new head lights and black tail lights from a raptor. Next will be tint, level kit, and possibly black out the running boards. Its dirty but when clean the wheels and grill shine right up. Also got new tires and morimoto LED fogs.

Looks good so far
Before you black out those running boards see if you can pick up a set of Raptor running boards, will look nice on there.
Alot of friends with FX4’s and Sport have done it, definitely love them on my Rap.
Will look like this…
Looks great
I do like the raptor running boards but from what I’ve seen they are $700+ new and I’m sure they pull a good amount used. For now I want to cover these ones with bed liner.
Yes the ones you have will look much better line-x’d out. The raptor running boards are a bit pricey, around 1400 dealer cost but always a few barely used sets up on the raptor forum for 500. One guy had a set up for 300 but was in Illinois, but of a drive and shipping would be expensive.
I live two miles from the 130 toll road going down to San Antonio.
Here is the deal, most of the toll roads down here are 75MPH. In spots that toll road goes to 80MPH then 85MPH.
I have not seen a 55MPH highway here at all, the lowest speed is 65MPH I think.
Also the roads are like glass there are no potholes.
The cops will not pull you over unless you break triple digits in a 65mph zone, it just doesn’t happen. No fucks given.
Looks like ALG is liking the new aluminum truck
The residual experts at ALG estimate that the 2015 F-150 is going to hold 58 percent of its value over the next three years, versus 52 percent for the 2014 model, according to Bloomberg. That figure also gives the Ford the highest forecasted resale value among American fullsize pickups. The 2015 Toyota Tundra leads the segment by holding 63 percent. Meanwhile, the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra both come in with 51 percent, and the Ram 1500 holds 46 percent. Finally, the 2015 Nissan Titan comes in at 42 percent.
