Fallout 3 XBOX 360

This game is apparently more like Oblivion and less like traditional Fallout. IDK. I’ll have to burn and find out for myself though.

been playing fable 2, such a cool game.

I finally feel the desire to play xbox again

just finished this over the weekend. I never played any of the other fall outs but I really liked this game. The environments were very detailed, the bloody mess perk never got old, and I loved using the ripper(a chainsaw like sword). The main story line was not all that long but still very good. I found myself doing extra quests just for the sake of exploration and killing. The only downside I found was that when I ended the game, I could not start a new one with any of my old items, perks or anything.

edit: I would give it a 8/10

ign gave it a 9.5, which is rare for them.

I might have to play it now.

Man, I really want to pick this up for the PC today. Tough choice between this and fable 2

lol who plays pc games now adays.

get with it steve

lol what can I say, I’m a sucker for true 1920x1200 resolutions :stuck_out_tongue:
for multiplayer though, xbox > *

yeah on a 24 inch monitor lol

ill stick with my 42 and be able to actually see details :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been playing this game since last week, about 20 hours in.

I too found it amazing… as soon as you get out of the vault! While in it, everything seems mediocre and antiquated. That part of the game absolutely parallels Oblivion, where the game begins once you leave the dungeon.

I’m uncertain how short it is, however I’ve read EVERYWHERE that it can be completed quickly… but this isn’t really something you powergame through, because if you do, you are missing the “immersion” aspect of the game.

I’ve found the VATS system cool, and use it 75% of the time, however I’ve also just used my FPS background to scope in and tally up headshots when the opportunity arises.

When I play this game through again, I’ll likely play it on the hardest setting, even though there are points that can be pretty hectic ( being outnumbered and underpowered ).

Oh well, 8/10. I stopped playing fable immediately when I burned this, and haven’t looked back.

pshttt… 24’s are for amatures lol

you sold me… getting this instead (love the non-linear style that oblivion had)

Well, from my experiences, the game has been completely non-linear. I spent the first hour or so just running around in the barren wastes, awe-struck at the atmosphere and gfx. I’d also like to comment and say that I did not make a combat oriented character, and instead have found it enthralling to finish missions in unique and out of the ordinary ways.

On the other hand, from what I read, people have been speeding through the main quest/story arc and completing the game in record time. I suspect that if I solely went after the main quest, I could be finished also, however that’d involve ignoring your surroundings and ignoring conversations and sub-plots. Which, when playing a game that tells a story, is pretty much blasphemous.

Lastly, I’m glad to be playing a game when the currency isn’t abundant. The vendors often only have a meager amount of money themselves, so even if you spend 2 hours farming shit to sell you won’t necessarily be even able to sell it anyways. It adds something to the game. You just can’t go back to your base and restock up to take on another mission, often you will go into a fight without a lot of ammo, without a lot of “healing.” I won’t go into much more detail, but it’s cool.

nice

does it still have that merchant glitch that oblivion had? If he had 800 gold and you sold him something for 500, he’d still have 800 in his inventory? or will it be reduced to 300?

can’t wait to grab this… might have to take a half day lol

STFU with the spoilers

jesus, take it to PM fags.

Those are not spoilers

I have not seen a glitch like that, however I also haven’t been looking for one either.

lol now im going to have to play this

just bought it  can’t wait to give it a try.
