I just can’t fathom paying these prices for 9mm when I was paying between 0.17-0.25 per round for winchester or federal target ammo a couple years ago.
Yep. .20 for target ammo was great.
Might be practicing today, but weather dependent. Still not so urgent to do so that weather can stop it, lol.
Since purchasing my .22 and shotgun, neither have been shot yet. It’s pretty sad. Going on at least a year with the shotgun and 2-3 yrs on the .22.
why?
Don’t have the property, haven’t had anyone want to go out and shoot. Haven’t had a lot of time. Lots of reasons. My last 2 years have actually been pretty packed with things going on. Between a destination wedding and planning and honeymoon, pregnancy, baby, reception back home, getting the house in order, family gatherings… it’s been tough.
Sounds like those things all lead to an increased desire for firearms practie.
100%. Hoping to get out with my father in law at their families land in Arcade but it just hasn’t come together yet. Really would like to shoot some though. I am way out of the loop though on pricing for ammo and I’m sure it’s going to be a huge surprise when I see it. haha
Yeah, we have two kids, a dog, several race cars and my wife and I make sure we go shooting regularly. Don’t make excuses, make reasons.
Ha, I can find the time. It’s just not a lot of fun when every time I dump a 10rnd mag through my Glock 19 I’m throwing a $5 bill down range.
Except it’s worse, because I can get $5 bills anywhere. Ammo I have to hunt for.
This is my problem too, I just would rather dump money elsewhere. I’ve shot PLENTY in the past and in a home invasion scenario I’m just dumping mags so whatever. In a civil war scenario I just need enough ammo to take yours.
Lol. Flex well received.
I’m cheap and at least I have a little 9mm laser cartridge, mantis-x and laser-lyte target with the two laser guns.
Honest, I’m fairly new to this so it’s not something I’m going to be doing myself. I want to make sure when I do go it’s with someone who is willing to take the time to help me break down the guns, clean them, etc. I know how to load and shoot. lol
Ahh yes living in the country. I opened my bedroom window and let a few loose today
I got into reloading about 2 years before the shit show. Haven’t bought “ammo” since. Not as easy as handing over cash, but I have it when I need it.
There is 9mm ammo for $0.32 shipped now… its not THAT crazy. Still is $5 a mag I suppose. Just limit the rapid fire.
.22 ammo is still pretty dirt cheap, even at $50 for 500 its not going to break the bank to have an hour of fun.
Best way to shoot well is to put lead down range. Still cheaper then golf.
Where do you see it for that?
So I was going to buy an air rifle for plinking with the kids, and stumbled across a good deal that accomplishes the same thing but is a little nicer -
That plus three bricks of cci sub sonic for about $300. Not bad!
Need to watch…
Do they direct ship or need an FFL?
