Firearm BS thread

I don’t know how ALL raffles work but we don’t print our tickets until our FFL has them in his posession. This way they can leave with the actual prize, as long as all the legalities are satisfied. No backorders, no swicharoos, etc.

I actually made my first win and got a Savage 220 slug gun. I’m gonna give it a whirl. Scope should be here in a week or so. All transfer fees are included with the prize. Our 4 x 4 also included tax paid.

Congrats. A bolt action 12 gauge sounds fun.
We won Zero. Not even a basket or hanging plant

I would like to think most all of the guns on the Rapids ticket would be available in short order or stock. I assume your club got a deal on buying so many guns so it would cost less than their retail.

Now I would love to know just how many guns the unnamed shop had available. If they only ordered half, and talked winners into store credit, I assume rapids would only have to pay that amount to the shop. Otherwise, I could see it as theft.

Actually it a 20ga (Savage 220). We don’t necessarily get a “deal” on ours. The FFL is a long time member and he and another guy spend some weeks selecting / buying them. They create a list first and then source them. It’s not often they’re readily available and I don’t believe they get more than 1 or 2 from any one source.
