First bad experiance with the colonie popo

Colonie cops never bother me. They don’t even look at my car when I drive by. I’ve floored it past a colonie PD before and they don’t even look in my direction. It’s the Troy/East Greenbush PD that are a bunch of assholes. Everytime I drive by them they STARE at my car like it’s some sort of stolen car that I bought on the black market with drug money which is believed to be sitting in my trunk under 10 pounds of cocaine.

colonie cops gave me a hard time when i was younger, before i was driving, used to get crap from them ALL the time

Ive never had a colonie cop bust my balls beofre, not even one right behind me following… pretty much doing all the things this cop said i did

x2 it’s nice knowing people within the PD. ;D Only time i’ve ever gotten pulled over by them was when I first got my “drive after 9” license. I was in my old Z24 at about 2am going around 110 on central by Lia Toyota :banana Stupid? Hell yes. I didn’t know any better then. Guy caught up to me and pulled me over, told me “i was doing 90 and you were pulling away from me.” He was in his car for about a half hour, came back and wrote me an “avoiding traffic control device” ticket. HUGE break right there. Then I called my buddy in the PD and told him the guy wrote me a ticket for something I didn’t do and that was pretty much the end of that. He actually said “just tell the kid to slow down from now on.” :crackup

its cuz you looked like a mexican

what was the cops name

Tremoy I belive?

dunno him… but thats just a tough break… my dads a retired watervliet cop and my brother is a watervliet cop… sometimes you just catch them on a bad night

Well just got word in they were all dropped.

My father said the cops exact words were

" He told me you were a retired cop, I figured if it was true ill take care of em, if not… Fuck em"

But i guess he was cool with my father on the phone

Im acctualy very suprised they got dropped, i figured I would have at least gotten a non moving violation with a fine

My father said the cop was acctualy pretty cool and said I wasnt an asshole, even thou I according to him drive like one , which im not gonna lie I can drive like a doucehbag but I really wasnt last night… ahh well

congrats man…that would have been a hefty bill

Yeah no shit, and a bullshit one at that

Good job. :nod

congrats on that

i dislike colonie police, that is all.

How is your excuse for running a late yellow/early red that you didn’t wanna slam on your brakes in the middle of the intersection? Isn’t that the whole point of the yellow light? To give ya some warning?

Also, why do you deserve respect and a break for what your father has done? If you have done something and got caught why do you get to get out of it when we don’t? (Not to take away one bit from his service) Makes you sound exactly like those little rich kids that have fun with there parents money, I guess they have earned it too cuz there parents are rich?

If you don’t have your ins card on you or it is expired you can also have your vehicle towed on the spot, has happened to one of my friends before. Though I’m sure they were being a dick to the cop and the cop took full advantage of the situation.

MUST BE NICE!!!

The fact that I have a good driving record, not just because my father is a cop, because I seriously havent fucked up that much… The fact that my family went thru a lot of bullshit from my father being seriously hurt on the job and having the town fuck him… A lot of cops have heard of him because of this

The fact that I am respectfull to all officers no matter how much of a dick they are

and not just me, every cop should be respectful to someone they pull over… granted if they are a murder/drunk and speeding away from teh cop thats a differant story… But knowing my father was a cop, in my eyes should make him a bit more respectfull…

I guess it one of those things you cant explain unless you have it…

Theres a big differance between the respect earned from a family of someone of high statue and community service, than some rich prick…

The fact that my father served 30+ years rotterdam total, between being a volenteer firefighter, paramedic and 21 years as a cop, and in the end my whole family sufferd from dumb bullshit politics i think enlightens anyone in my family to a little respect from law enforcemetn

No i dont think i should get off al the time, but for the most part do i? Im not gonna lie, i have gotten off with a lot of shit, do I think I should? No not really but it comes with the territory

but I think i am entitled to a certin respect.

If you undertand that thats great, if not, I dont hold it against you, i understand where you are comming from, but its just a perk i guess

:+1

The Dem’s aren’t pro-abortion you tard, they’re pro choice… And those babies are gonna be aborted no matter what the law is if that is the choice of the mother. Better if they go to stem cell research rather than ally dumpsters.

That was left out of your posts totally, though IMO does earn you a large degree of respect and leniency when dealing with the police. As does showing them the same respect you are (hopefully) getting from them.
But thats something YOU earned for your self, not something your dad did for you.

Edit: I gotta admit, if my dad was a retired cop I would sure as hell use it to my advantage in the face of getting tickets whenever possible. So its time to step off my soap box =X

hhaha @ neo

i told him the same thing on aim, i never understand why people feel like they deserve to get out of tickets because they know somone who was in law enforcement, i remember the other night at the lot when everyone got handicap parking tickets, and the dude on the harley goes… “hey can i show you something, hey can I show you this, just let me show you this” to the officer, and whips out some “get out of jail free card” haha no but seriously, some card or whatever from another cop, im like wow comon are u serious ?
