Bought myself a fan controller cause I want the fans to turn on automatically. I know, I can also use the thermostat but the guy who installed the sr engine, the wiring is a mess. Anywho, where can I hook the fan controller for power? I moved the battery to the trunk so that’s why I’m asking. Can I jus hook it up to the +ve terminal on the alternator leading from the battery?
regardless of where you moved your battery, you should still have the original “positive” battery connection on your lower wiring harness (tranny/starter/alternator harness) or the main wire going from your engine bay to the positive connection on your battery in the trunk
Just hook it into that.
Now if you have A/C and want to have the fan to turn on with your A/C and bypass your adjustable controller not to fry it… you got some wiring to do.
otherwise…
plug in the ground, positive to a battery lead (recommend you put a inline fuse), stick the thermostat in your rad fins under your inlet, then set it and forget it
thanks…I’ll take some pics as to wat I’m talking about
