It’s come time to upgrade project cars and I want this gone to bring a new car home. I’ve had it since 2002 and it has a few new/upgraded parts on it. Would make a excellent field car, or track beater with a bit or work. With spray it could easily hit 13s.
This is not a winter car, for obvious reasons.
This is mostly intended for “off-road” use (ie. AutoX, road courses, ovals)
Or even for that silly $1003 challenge if it even happens.
The car is blue with Red primer on the front.
Needs:
-Exhaust (Open-manifolds pose a possible safety hazard)
-Sub-frame bushings (Recommended would greatly assist in steering feel)
-Something to hold the Cam sensor wheel in place due to freak AutoX incident (Any epoxy would do, I’ll fix this if it warms up at all before it’s sold.)
Mods:
-Weight reduction
-11.6" front brake upgrade
-Warm-air intake
-Disabled secondaries
Recently replaced in the past year:
-Steering rack
-Front crank seal
-All 3 cam seals
-16" wheels all around with newer tires (60% tread front, 80% back)
-All four calipers, rotors, and pads replaced. Only used in one event.
-New struts all around
-One lower control arm replaced.
Features:
-Manual transmission, that’s right no auto-tragic BS here.
-Inspected until July of 2007
-Latest in Honda weight reduction technology.
-Single Leather seat with power side, and lumbar cushions. Quite comfy as anyone could attest it’s couch-likeness
-Ultimate sleeper look, no one would expect to lose to it. Period.
-Cruise control buttons provide additional comfort much like pushing an elevator switch many times before it arrives.
-Two window air-conditioning: Cools in the winter, warms in the summer.
-Did I mention weight reduction?
-Two, yes that is right two functioning power windows!
-Dynoed at 201.7WHP, 200ft-lb/tq last year
You can also take pride in:
-Tied for #2 for fastest known N/A SHO in the world with RJ-92 at 14.42 (@98.86mph)
-Made a kid in an riced 5.0 Fox-Body, as well as someone at NYIRP in a stock WRX cry.
-Has the rear-bumper of the worlds fastest SHO on it. Which adds nothing of worth really because it’s still slow. Except just to say that you have it.
-89 was the lightest year for the SHO. No ABS/Airbag, plus vented rear rotors.
-Very, very low rust for a Taurus
The few people that have witnessed this car in action are always suprised how well it holds up. I need it gone ASAP, best decent offer will get it. (Which shouldn’t be hard at this price) Otherwise I will part it and scrap it if it does not sell in time.
Will toss an extra tranny in for $150
And two racing buckets for an additional $75 (Same as these)
I’ll try to get pics later.
