I got Nextel a few months ago. Apparently, I have a spending limit account…I went over my minutes and it just shut my phone off until I paid the bill. I thought the phone was broke, they didn’t tell me anything about a spending limit when I bought it. I have 300 minutes, with free incoming calls. Text messaging plans suck too. I only bought 100 texts considering how expensive their texting plans are. I went over my texts last month too. I get a lot of dropped calls near my work, Taylorstown. That’s not surprising though, working in the middle of nowhere practically. The phone wouldn’t be bad if my friends and family had Nextel so I could use direct connect. Tmobile has a decent plan now, like 2000 minutes for like $40 or $50 I think.
Watch out for the razr’s bug problems. I’ve been reading alot about them lately. Didn’t they recall them at one point?
Also I’m not to sure how bad you could beat up on a razr due to how thin the phone is. Now if it was a nextel brick or a candy bar phone that would be different.
I just switched to sprint from nextel and I’m pissed that I did because my phone has been shut off once every month because of something wrong on their end, but I can’t complain about a 21% discount on my phone bill.
lol…it all depends on the area…there are various dead spots where NO cell phones work. Verizon does has the best coverage but Sprint isn’t as bad as people say it is…everyone just thinks its horrible because they only hear the bad things…it’s really not i should know i’m a 3rd party retailer for Sprint/Verizon/Shit-Gular
Sry for the double post but i didn’t read everyones post. Tmobile is by far the worst…i despise GSM networks in the first place but Tmobiles is the worst and their rates are stupid…that 2000 minutes is anytime you get no night and weekend so if you talk a lot like some people that 2000 is gone before 15 days is up. Sextel has an advantage on text plans…if you look they actually have unlimited available…Verizon doesn’t have unlimited for outside carries…IE:Non Verizon Customers…But Sextel does. Along with nights starting at 6(for an extra charge) and their free incoming plans which i use and abuse on my nextel. i can be a bundle of information at times so i’ll leave it there.
I’m right along with you on abusing the free incoming. Last month I had over 1000 mins in free incoming and for the free texts I had about 1000.

Unlimited text for Sextel is 15 bucks a month. Heres my plan(kinda funny) 300anytime minutes right…free incoming…insurance(of course)…Direct connect n all that stuff is free & included…Unlimited text…i pay maybe about 100 bucks a month…now you may say WTF thats too expensive but heres how i whored Nextel. I burned through 7,569 minutes last month…23 of them being my anytime the rest free incoming and my nights start at 6 for an extra ten bucks i beleive. Messages sent somewhere around 3000. i text sometimes over 100 per day. can you say “it’s worth the money”…haha oh yea once my discount on my bill kicks in from my job i get unlimited text for a year…saves me…180bucks!
mike from what i heard all the bugs with the razer phones dropping calls and shutting off were with the GSM networks. the only thing i heard about them through verizon is the metal keys can crack the screen easier if you sit on the phone

Yea they are. I stopped selling people the razers for cingular a while back because of that…and as for sitting on the phone…its like 5 credit cards thick who would put it in their backpocket anyway?
sprint is terrible. When I first started my job they told me they pay for my phone ( Cricket ) I cant really complain I get free phone service but I think cricket is worse than sprint. What sucks even more is we are actually buying out sprint / nextel and offering phone cable internet and cell phone on One bill. And yes we are activating blue tooth for new cable boxes. But this wont happen for a very very very long time.
Question…who is “we” and don’t say something that will make me ROFL. If you say Comcast or Adelphia i will laugh. Sprint was too big in the first place to be bought out by anyone combining with Nextel insured that both of them will stay afloat. Sprint = Middlemans phone Nextel = Businessmans(Drugdealers) phone. I could see them possibly joining with someone(again) but being bought out…never.
well considering “we” Just bought adelphia… Comcast…I am only saying what came directly out of the marketing managers mouth.
I sit on my samsung a900 all the time, along with my ipod nano. I just feel it’s built better than the razr.

Jenn I did have verizon, but they gave me some trouble getting my goverment clearance in july with a bill… that was screwed up and told me it was my fault and I had to pay them 1100 bucks… :dunno: almost didn’t get my clearance
