Well I may not be making this switch final if I don’t find some answers. I’m finding out now that supposedly Verizon disables all the blue tooth shit and the phone being able to accept pictures for wallpaper unless you buy it from them.
Fuck that I have software for that shit and have done it on all my other phones. I’m not playing these fuck fuck games, with another service provider…
um. my bluetooth works, and pics CAN be used for walpapers
no what I mean is I have software on my computer that I can hook a cable to the phone and change the pictures and add my own from my home PC to the phone.
Well verizon has it blocked so all the multimedia aspects of these different softwares won’t work.
Example say I wanted to take my avatar off this site and add it to the phone strait from the computer. Supposedly I can;t do that. I have to use there stupid fucking “Get It Now” or what ever stupid service they provide to transfer it.
The Blue tooth I;m talking about tranfering shit to and from my home PC or there are some cars where you can sync your phone book to the car’s phone. Well its all diabled unless you pay for their bullshit add on service.

have you tried connecting to anything by bluetooth? i’m not saying you are wrong, but mine connects to cars and other devices with bluetooth and i dotn pay any add on fees.
as far as your pictures, cant you just email it to the email on your phone? i think its your phone number @vzn.com or soemthing like that.

As for the software. I shouldn’t have to get forced into emailing my phone anything because that ends up costing shit as well. If its sitting right there I should be able to down load it with the USU to Mini USB cable and the software.

No, it was something Mike bought separately that is supposed to work with your computer to transfer things to the phone (ringtones, backgrounds, etc.), but it’s not sold by Verizon, so he was told that it won’t work with a Verizon phone, because Verizon blocks 3rd party products from working with their phones.

i dont know the answer to your question about the cable, but you should be able to bluetooth file transfer anything you want if you have a computer that’s got bluetooth capability… they dont have any business blocking that.
Actually Brad, Motorola sells a similar software for the Razr and apperntly verizon blocks its shit as well.
I went with Data Pilot this time instead of the Motorola software (motorola phone tools), due to it fucking up the phone book and not allowing multiple numbers per name (the data pilot allows it)

Welp I just called them, and I’m sending the shit back. Their solution was for me to pay a bunch of money for their “data Service”. My answer was basically thats bullshit, your phones will be back in two days.
Thats fucking hilarious. You buy a phone with certian features, which they disable so they can charge you even more money. They fucktards like Motorola agree to disable this shit at verizon’s request.

sprint sux so bad. i’d say half to a quarter of my calls go straight to voicemail depending where i’m at. i’m always losing service.
verizon has the worst customer service ever. confirmed by nearly everyone i know that has one.
t-mobile was the cheapest and customer service was pretty stupid but polite while being stupid so they win out.
i think the fact that you’re sending phones back that have a better network because you have to pay to put pictures and stuff on your phone is what’ sfunny. i’d rather have a phone that works everywhere and has a black and white text display than a phone that takes movies, pics, and whatever but doesn’t work anywhere.
It goes beyond pictures. Syncing it with outlook, being able to use the blue tooth for file transfers other than just the stupid head sets and so forth.
Sorry but my biggest problem with sprint is the customer service in dealing with the problems I have had as of late. Why would I pay more to deal with the same stupid bullshit because in the short reaction I had with verizon today it was obvious they didn’t give two fucks and just wanted more money to unlock standard phone features which are supposed to be availible when you buy the phone(s).
So I’m supposed to leave one provider with shitty customer service for another one, pay for new phones, new activation fees, and a 150 dollar cancellation at sprint, to get fucked with more bullshit and a handicapped phone though verizon???

To clear things up, its not the service as in coverage and signal that sucks, its the current phones we have that suck and how Sprint has delt with the problems recently. These phones were just released when we got them. Prior to that I have never had a single proble with my other phones and coverage. All of the ohones I have gotten when I started with verizon were not the shitty buget phones either. They have always been a higher quality.
Like I said until we bought these phones I never had a single problem with Sprint and getting stuff fixed.
