yeah the a900 is nice…thinner & seems more sturdy/rugged then the RAZR.
& I like the look of it better too.
i have a treo650 but if i was going to get a regular phone it would be a blade.
i’ve checked them out a few times & my is going to get it pretty soon.
if your trying to go another route beside sprint/ or verizon…talk to peterock he’s got t-mobile.
says its decent.
i’ve heard ok things about cingular, my grandfather back in NJ has it, & it works pretty good, but he’s got some old ass flip from like 4-5yrs ago, so that not the cutting technology.
just stay away from cricket…all i’ve heard are negative things.
whats the deal with all those new ghetto phones like cricket…Boost moble, Amped, etc…
I’ll be staying with Sprint right now. I won’t go to cingular due to the problems I had with AT&T wireless (my first cell carrier many moons ago and they breeched my contract. I ended up having it cancelled due to that), and T-moble, Brad is having issues with. So I’ll just stay here with them and we are due in a couple months to get our 150 dollar rebates on phone replacement anyways So we’ll just buy the a900s or somthing close to it.
I think a majority of our coverage issue is a problem with the phone its self. They were brand new and I don’t think the bugs were worked out with them. The secondary problem to that was how customer service handled the issue.
I’d rather work (and bitch) though that than switching and dealing with even more issues through verizon.
I have a new treo 700w and have verizon. My dad has an old school (2 years old)flip phone with cingular and he gets 10x the reception I get. Verizon fucking blows.

i haven’t had a single problem with all the palm phones i’ve had through the years… Samsung I300, Samsung I330, Treo650
i beat my I330 to death & the reception was still good…the phone was beat & battery life had died off but it was still chugging along.
i got the 700 and i wouldnt say it blows. the more i play with it, the more comfortable i am with it. aside from the outlook email, and the faster internet, i would take my 650 back in a heartbeat. I definitely like the palm software better. but like the redneck, my company pays for mine so i’m not going to complain too much.
i heard the next treo phone (750?) is going to go back to a palm OS.
i haven’t tried the 700 so i can’t say…but i’ve played with a few windows mobile phones & like i said they were dogs & the windows software is limited & pricy.
plam stuff is all over & a lot is free.
don’t get me wrong…they have some slick windows based phones out now treo700, Starcom PPC-6700,Samsung i830, but i would never get one…I think the Palm way out weighs the windows mobile all around.
oh…sight&sound… check out the samsung a800 too…that phone looked decent to, just not as slim as the a900
