I can appreciate your political views, and I hope you appreciate mine. The decrease in the value of the dollar also causes everything to suddenly be more expensive than it used to be… more or less offsetting the decrease in debt. However, at the current rate our debt is increasing… the value of the dollar issue seems to effect us more negatively than positively. We aren’t currently beating the shit out of Iraq. We aren’t really doing anything. Other countries HATE us because of what we are doing in Iraq and it is doing nothing to help the U.S.'s status. IMHO
last time I checked the reason it happened is because most people supported the war, than given the chance re-elected the president that started it.
and a lot of people don’t even bother to vote, which somehow doesn’t stop them from complaining about politics.

Sometimes people are deterred from voting because the person the majority voted for in 2000 didn’t become president. ;D
Had people known that there was literally no reason to go into Iraq, rather than been fed lies by the administration and the media, I strongly believe that we wouldn’t be there right now. The enhanced patriotism after 9/11 was exploited severely and people believed and supported anything they were told.
Or because they feel they will be disenfranchised.

that’s not quite the case. you also got to consider, that while our prices are encreasing, costs of living, in say, europe, are almost double what we have here, while the average wages are not.

I said that other nations, namely my original homeland, have it much worse.
As far as the war - that’s what the people at the helm of the nation want to do.
And people in power, like it or not, are a good yardstick of the nation is like as a whole.
