He lives in Buffalo…
You might also want to apply for Norfolk Southern as well, they were hiring in other parts of the state in the past month or so.
so where do you work again if you dont mind me asking again???
thanks man…will do
lol oh
I am a poli sci major and I do allright working at Subway. :gotme:
Housing is so expensive in DC that even with a $70,000 salary I would be on the same budget I am on here.
Uh ya
or you could live 3 hours away
My brother works outside DC and lives in VA. He was in Manassas and would commute 1-2 hours each way on the metro and/or drive through hellish traffic jams. That’s like taking a part time job with no pay just for commuting, it eats your day (and mind) away. He now lives in Alexandria and walks to work…for a price. A 2 bedroom apartment is about $1500 a month where he is now, so if you’re not making $70k+ you won’t have much left over to live. I could do very well down there as could most any technical field but I can’t handle the commute and see no point in paying out the ass to live close. I dunno if you’ve driven much in DC and it’s outskirts but it’s INSANE! One small accident holds traffic up for hours because it’s so congested etc…
As much as I don’t like Buffalo…the housing and commute times are one of the things I love here.
lol I lived in Culpeper and it was 2-3 hours to the Pentagon every morning
Ouch. Yeah so you know how fun it is out there. LOL.
Yeah, I will stick with my 5 min. commute and cheap housing.
