I don’t know how many of you are home owners but I imagine that many are considering buying one in the near future.
This morning on the news they mentioned Giambra’s new plan for dealing with the financial woes of Erie County…raise property taxes.
Next year the property taxes are to go up by 25%. A pretty significant increase. But then we have 2007, an increase of 24%!! So we are looking at a 49% increase in Erie county property taxes in the next 2 years.:crap:

Great. And I’m closing on a house in Tonawanda in 2 weeks… We already have retardedly high property taxes! Check this shit out. Buffalo’s property taxes are 3.5%, versus the national average of 1.64%??? And now he wants us to pay for Sherrif patrols? WTF?! Giambra needs to be removed from office before he does more damage.
Homeowner or not this is gonna end up fucking everyone in the ass. Do you think my landlord is going to say oh my property taxes went up guess ill just have to eat those costs? fuck no! rent is going up as much as his taxes. Thanks giambra and every other county exec that got us in this freakin mess.

man you guys get really heated over pennies. an increase of about $250/year on a $100k home is squat. most you home owners take home atleast twice that in a week.
now im not sticking up for giambra or the disfunctional county govt we have here but you have to remember the big reason the cost to run the county govt has increased so dramatically is because of albany. programs the state has complete control over like medicaid/medicare and pensions are being funded by the counties of NY. with the cost of medical care skyrocketing and the increasing number of retirees collecting on their pensions, the bill from NYS has increased by hundreds of percent over the last few years. and erie county hasnt raised its taxes to keep up with this increase…rather that fucktard giambra cut the taxes. so if you guys didnt see it coming you should pay more attention to the antics of your local govts.
THEY COULD CUT MLLIONS BY NOT HIRING ALL OF THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS AND PAYING THEM MORE THAN TWICE THE NATIONAL AVERAGE AND GIVING THEM RETARDED PENTIONS.
