The undeniable fact is with the merger of all of the forums in the past we have all benefited from it. Especially showing in the network wide forums. If the nyspeed guys and canadians can get it right, I’m sure the pittspeed guys will get it too. There are always a few that don’t get it and never will. This is a good thing just let it happen.
Just keep in mind the important things … Almost all of us enjoy cars, drinking, and women (not necessarily all of them or in that order). So let’s all sit back talk shop, have a shot, and tell them we need a network wide NSFW section

any offtopic forums whether network wide or not should be a given that it’s possibly NSFW. who wants a forum where you have to sit around sing Kum-Bay-ya with everyone. If they are worried about non members reading shit and not wanting to join because of what is said in an offtopic forum, then make it for members only with a big warning at the top that anything goes.

something i can just never justify paying for. charging for the internet to talk shit is ridiculous. charge for people to sell shit in classifieds, great. charge forum sponsors to put huge ads at the top, great. but charge the sites visitors to see the shit that forum sponsors are trying to push, ridiculous. It’s as retarded as sam’s club charging memberships for people to buy their shit. if i was a sponsor, which i used to be on pittspeed, i surely wouldn’t want my potential customers to have to pay to see content on a site i advertise on.
this is a business you have here, and charging users is an easy way out. grow the site to make it more interesting, so more people come, so more sponsors come so you make more money.
i dont think thats the problem as you cant see this if your not a forum member. the soul problem as stated a number of times was that the person(s) were arguing in the front network announcements section that is viewed by everyone even non members. now i think this has hit a more personnel spot on some of you guys this could be a good thing but u have to accept the fact that there are certain rules to abide to, you wouldn’t walk into your moms house with white carpets with muddy boots would you? just follow the rules and im sure we can all get along perfectly fine.
