Girl raped on UB North Campus...

campus wide assault prevention and safety training day

yeah, that’ll fix it

always made me cringe a little late at night seeing just one girl out chillin around campus

what a bad, bad idea

wtf

UB police = joke

I thought it was an assault. News said rape. who knows…

Thread title is misleading, in the warning, it never says it was a girl…

Maybe it was a dude…

Subject: An open letter to the University Community

The University at Buffalo Police Department is very concerned about crime on and off campus, particularly the recent sexual assault of one of our students. While our investigation continues we are increasing the police presence on both campuses, particularly on afternoons and early evenings. In addition to the extras steps your University Police are taking we are asking for your assistance. The most important thing you can do is call us to report any suspicious activity!

We also recommend you follow these safety tips:

     1. There is always safety in numbers; walk in groups of 3 or more.
     2. Lock doors and windows whenever leaving your residence, and leave a light on.
     3. Walk in lighted areas.
     4. Wearing headphones can distract you from realizing a dangerous situation.
     5. If you go to a party plan in advance to leave with a friend and, leave with that friend.
     6. Look out for your friends and neighbors.
     7. Keep your wallet on your person as opposed to in a bag or purse.
     8. Keep your passport and social security card in a secure place.
     9. Never leave anything in your vehicle; GPS devices are a favorite target this year.
    10. Always be cognizant of your surroundings!

The University at Buffalo continues to be a safe community. Unfortunately, in any community with a daytime population that exceeds 40,000, some crime does occur. With your assistance we can make this community even safer.

We would also encourage everyone to take advantage of the Anti Rape Task Force Safety Escort Program. Please call 829-2584 for additional information.

Call the University at Buffalo POLICE for assistance at 716-645-2222 or call from any Blue Light Phone. Your safety is our number one priority!

Somebody shoulda tazed him bro

one of the cops weighs at least 600 pounds, the guys on here that go to UB should know who I’m talking about, when he drives the charger around the campus the driver side is slammed to the ground. that car needs 16 cylinders to haul his ass around

^that guy is a dick too

Seen him. Not a little guy. I usually see him doing traffic control.

There are a lot of cool UB cops though. A lot of them stop in our store and help out when people steal shit from us.

I hope they kill the guys

+1

that was a rape? hmph i didnt catch that when i read the email the other day, i was just thinking if she knew there was a hangtag it would have been more helpful to memorize the hangtag Number…

[/quote]

It wasn’t in the e-mail. You had to log into UB Learns to see that it was rape. The e-mail just said someone was assaulted…didn’t say it was a girl or anything.

That’s the worst part, this happened at 5pm!!! Fucking 5! I walked through the exact place she was taken not 5 minutes earlier on my way back to my apartment from class. I assume this girl was doing the same and she had no reason to expect any danger.

Honestly… in the e-mail that was sent out they said it ‘occurred near Lake LaSalle’. I bet 80% of UB students don’t know wtf that is. For those who don’t… it’s the huge lake that the old Greek style pillars sits on outside the CFA/commons. They were to pussy to say it happened in/near South Lake Village (open houses this weekend at all campus apts…). I’m all for the cops… but it’s almost daily I see one giving a ticket on St. Rita’s Ln or Frontier Rd (the 2 main roads that go through SLV) for exceeding the garbage 15mph limit. Wonder where they were then…

BTW: Am I the only one that thinks this could of been the end to hell week for those 2 kids. Like they needed to do that to ‘cross over’ into their Frat…

I always knew that as Baird Point. And that is fucked up that it happened at 5pm since we were just getting out of work at the Commons. I try to walk out with the girls from my work every night too…

And good point on the hell week theory. Next step of orientation, rip their nuts off.

The bad thing is that the semester is about over for break and if they don’t find out who did it, they might not since it will be a bit before students are back in school.

Well the pillars themselves are at Baird Point. Like UB Micro is in the Commons the pillars are in Baird Point. Where the girl was actually pushed into the car was the day car center that’s adjacent to SLV. My apartment last year (a different SLV apt) was actually 10ft. from that parking lot.

I know exactly where that is because it is the start point for the Ride for Roswell.

Shitty…

That dude hasn’t died yet? He was around back in 2000…

I don’t have to worry about hearing about any more of this bullshit…

I was wondering that. I don’t know what it is, and I’ve been going to school there for 4 years (done in 3 days though!).

Hope the cops are rolling around the lots HARD looking for the car matching that description.
