Going AWD v.my1gDSM

I just realized that you cleaned up the firewall a bunch…it looks really good especially the passenger side!

[/quote]

Gotta give credit where credit is earned. I’m going to need a new one for my new firewall. Then an Innovative one for the other side to balance things out a bit.

 Skrapper.

Can’t wait to see you pulling some good times without traction slowing you down.

Hank, do you have and spare 2g mafs…i need the some honeycombs…not the maf. lmk

Thanks man. I am glad that I opted to keep my car because I will actually be making out $$ wise on this deal with things that I could sell and reuse off of the pair of cars.

a clean swap and some paper in the pocket is always a good thing!
like i said, lemmie know if you need a hand or 2

Had some more progress in the past couple of weeks, but not much as I have been making a few decisions based on the direction of this project.

First I cleaned up the engine bay

Going from this…

to this…

to this…

All of the harness is pulled away from the frame. Both the frame and harness are in exteremely good condition considering their age.

I also found out my transmission has led a particularly hard life.

That is the bell housing side, and yes, that one mounting ear is indeed a gob of slag drilled and ground to shape. Looks pretty bad. Oh well, I will deal with that when the time comes.

Here is the engine out of the car. Nothing fancy but very complete.

I also went and picked up my front fenders and rear bumper cover from the paint shop the other day. Wow did they do a good job over at D&D Auto cars. Pics coming later today.

hank da man!

And here are the painted parts. They did an awesome job. Sorry for the picture quality as I was trying to bring out the shine indoors with no tripod.

The bumper went from this…

I love the reflection from the shine on the bed in this one.

Here are the fenders.

The guys that did this are two brothers (Doug and Dan) that just opened a buisness.

They will be painting the body very soon.

 looks good man…

if you need help turning wrenches, i will be home on friday

You know you are a car guy when there are carparts all over the inside of your house.

X…

lol. I am remodeling a room in my house, and that is the spare room with all the junk in it. So what better place to store and fully cure auto parts.

Thanks for the comments.
