Good Car For Racing

lol i missed that from him

damn!!!

I know this but I have friends that help me on stuff. they know about cars and stuff but I keep forgetting to ask them the questions that im posting on here. Mostly because I was gonna buy this kids escort that he put stuff on but then decided not to and he got pissed and said he was gonna cut me so i told him to go ahead and he never talked to me again.

dont buy an escort, there is no way they are fast, no matter whats done to them

Is it a pontiac GTP because when I look for it on autotrader.com i cant find it as a model.

heh… don’t even want to go there. For once, i wont be that guy.

13.8 is slow right? thats what he was bragging he got at lancaster

pontiac grand prix GTP

or u can go the regal GS route, but they tend to be more money… not sure why, they are pretty much the same cars.

lol 13.8 at lancaster is like 5 minutes at a 1./4 mile track

everybody and there mom has a stang but hardly anyone has a nice one

lol most random quote ive seen yet here

but on topic:
swapped civic
fox body stang
gtp
all of those are good choices with the amount of money u have to spend
or a swapped 240sx would be another good choice

You guys use the word swapped like I know what to swap it with.

swap means

you take a car that has a shitty engine, and buy an engine that is good, and swap the two

so you then have a good car with a good engine

ie: nissan 240sx with a KA ( gay truck engine ) engine getting swapped so its a nissan 240sx with a SR ( leet jdm stylez ) engine

I knew engine switch but I didnt know what engine someone would put in a civic. and what year civic.

there are a bunch of threads about what engines get swapped into what chasis etc at www.honda-tech.com

there are lots of different combonations that people use, all depending on what their goals are, and how much $$ they have

i beg to differ…and it soundsl ike u need to have ur license for more than 10 months and do more research before u get mad fast yo

Well the plan was to buy a nice looking car thats decently fast stock and drive that for a few months to get used to it and then start modding it and eventually race it. I wasn’t gonna buy a super fast car and then go race it after I put the plates on.

the 3.8 is a pretty rock solid motor. Unless you do something stupid like tons of KR, starve fuel, or run sand for oil it will last a long time, well over 100k

So are formulas and trans ams not fast or people just dont like them?

haha depends on the type of car you get

if you get a n/a you might be able to hold off

but if you get a turblow it can be addicting at first

lol he said he had 5k to spend, not 15 which is prolly cost to make that shitcort go that fast.
