GPS Police finder

oh man i need one of these

My guess is it’s not going to happen… kuz how do you triangulate from 1 poition… so you’d need a radio inside your car to communicate with other “cop locator detector” units so that it can tell you where there are police… It’s possible… just not bloody likely.

^^^ triangulation requires THREE points of reference, otherwise its just straightlinegulation :stuck_out_tongue:

i was going to say this last night… then decided not to…

what sums it up is, and i suggest you incorporate it into your everyday life too it… assumption is the mother of all fuck-ups… don’t assume anything.

100% correct Amherst does.

I dont see how they can make that illegal to track ppl’s gps, its radio waves that are just out there in the air, unless you are hacking into their system i dont see how reading radio waves or whatever gps uses is illegal.

seems kinda like if you listen to xx.x radio station, your gonna go to jail cause its private

i would like to see someone produce results to this…

i see posts like: ahh that’s cool, wow i want some of that…and that’s easy, just sniff the gps…

“sniff” the gps signals coming from LE vehicles without having to hack there system, someone please show me how to do this

i feel like im talking to 12 year old crackers on some warez forum… maybe i can talk you guys into hacking 172.0.0.1

edit:L maybe if i get board later on ill show you why this would be a “near” impossible task to do.

there are detectors that detect the squelch every time a nearby car uses or recieves a radio signal… i saw it on discovery channel… right now it was only a theory thing, and nobody has marketed it as anything

cop’s just don’t have gps’s in there car that give off a frequency…

There are no radio waves or anything coming from a GPS RECEIVER. Thats all it is is a receiver. All it does is spit out grid coordinates on a display… nothing more. That information needs to be transmitted back to the station house and overlayed on a map within their computers. You cannot track a receiver(most:for the rectally retentive). You can however receive the encripted position data being transmitted by all the cars. This would be very illegal.

People seem to forget that GPS was developed by and for the military, and as such, the encryption is by design very good.

lol its not GPS

its through radio frequencies here on terra ferme (sp? dont care)

Find it (if it exists) on your local hacker forums, we don’t need this kind of liability…

thanks
