i’m hearing grinding noises at the back of the car, it sounds like when the brake pads are wearing thin. However this noise is not when i’m braking. I know it can’t be the brake pads (i’ve changed them recently) any other suggestions as to what is causing this noise what is grinding??
Maybe one of your calipers is seized, check the pads before saying it’s not them.
alright so i took off the rear driver side wheel and took off the caliper. Found that the outside brake pad was gone but the inside brake pad had alot of meat on it. Is the caliper seized?? i checked the sliders and they’re fine.
Caliper could be seized, put the wheel back on, drive around for a bit, then jack the car up and try to turn the wheel, if it’s hard to turn, caiper is seized, also use the handbrake before you jack the car up, on my car, my handbrake would stay on when I relased the handle.
