Gsr swaped ek civic, need help asap

bump, the car will not even turn over anymore. I compression tested it on all four cylinders and it was perfect , replaced the plugs and wires, changed the oil went over the injector order several several times double checked every fuckin sensor. This fucking blows going 3 months with out a car. Its harmed my grades, my job and had a huge contribution to ending a 3 year relationship I was in.

Have you gone through the wiring with a factory service manual?

Yes , i have breetimes haynes in my garage right now.

helms != FSM. Download a honda factory service manual, and use their wiring diagrams (because they also give wire colors to make sure you didn’t switch other plugs). FSM can be downloaded at hondahookup.com

I have a haynes in my hand right now, but its not really getting me anywhere. Im downloading another one right now.

It doesn’t start or it doesn’t turn over?

wont start, every single sensor is in place.

Errr single sensor is in place and correct, every wire and everything. The car is getting no spark on any plug.

If all the wires are in the correct place- ecu or dist?

yea both are hooked up correctly and worked fine like 3 days ago

No spark? Time to check the dizzy and wires.

wires are all in order and almost new. Dizzy looks to be perfect, but I wont really be able to tell unless i have another one here.

is the timing right and the wires on the right cylinders?

Yes and yes, it ran the other day started up fine but isnt getting any spark now all the sudden.

It is fucking cold out, are you sure there isn’t moisture in there that’s frozen?

yep my garage is pretty warm its at least 45-50 in there.

could be a bad connection on one of your wires on the dizzy, i had the same problem with my first crx. I had to move around the wires and it would fire right up but if it was moved in a certain position it would die right out with no spark.

here is the steps I would do:

1.) Get a new dizzy cap and rotor button
** while you have them apart, look to see if the rotor button is scrotched or the inside of the cap is burnt up from incorrect arching, Try starting the car**

2.) If that does not work, go thru your wires that are in the harness that are around the cap, one may be corrioded and arcing causing electrical problems

See Diagram below

3.) You are sure you are not getting spark? Check your fuel rail to see if you are getting fuel pressure

Did you rewire the dizzy or run a new obd2 harness?

the wires and plugs are maybe a month old and worked good. The cap is new as well and is corrosion free, and the harness is clean. Im getting tons of fuel pressure from all the times ive tryed to start it lol.

Ok, be honest - are you actually double checking these things or just assuming they are good because they were good before?

When you are stuck and don’t know what could be wrong, you have to start at the beginning and recheck everything just to make sure you ruled out every possibility. Attention to detail will help you now. Don’t skip checking something just because it worked last time.
