Yea, I know it sounds odd, but the two gumball cars were just steaming along in a straight line and you could see and hear them quite a ways away.
The other two cars in their attempts to keep up were weaving, passing on the right, and hitting the shoulder. In this particular case they were the bigger hazard to others on the road.

In cars that are built for these kinds of speeds, with driver’s who have just done a few thousand miles together at speed which makes things very much more predictable than usual. Having some asshat trying to keep up in a lifted pickup or a buick cutting people off left and right to try and catch you makes things 1000x worse.

i ended up driving to rochester today with my lady and ran into a bunch of dudes. it was sweet seeing 3 astons, a GT2 and a 599 at the gas station then rolling down the highway with them since they were mostly going the speed limit… except the GT2 guy who was ripping. <3 GT2’s
I don’t really give a fuck how “predictable” you think these are. In addition to the possible few experienced drivers that may do these rallys, there are also many celebrities, and actors too. And oh yeah, a few people died during a Gumball a few years ago. Are you seriously justifying this on public roads and asking if I take stupid pills? Really?
I saw that chrome colored gallardo on sheridan by the 190 today around 3 by himself, or one similar. Looked like he had just pulled all the stickers off of it. When these guys have euro registration I wonder how that flies with the police around here.
A Few? Really? Try doing some fucking research. Seeing as how you’ve never done ANY events similar to this you don’t have a fucking clue what you’re talking about in terms of knowing how others drive at high speeds for extended periods and how to deal with the public in said situations. Your regular fool in a buick causes more issues (and potential) trying to catch ralliers than the participants do. We had a guy flip over his RV and truck trying to take photos of us and drive at the same time a few years ago, sent a couple people to the hospital and blocked up a major interstate in Iowa.

all it takes is one idiot on the road not paying attention going to change lanes or something and it quickly becomes bad news. dont matter what car, “experienced driver” or celebrity it is so i dont know how you can argue it is safe
