Speaking of shooting, where can you shoot a 12 gauge with a pistol grip? I don’t like waiting for camping every time.
anywhere lol. those arent illegal. Just make sure its not an area thats populated or has any restrictions on discharging a firearm and you’re fine. Let me know if you wanna go blow shit up with shotguns sometime. I got a few 12 gages I’ve been meaning to play with lol.
243’s are really fun to shoot
my brother-in-law has a really nice Thompson Contender with a .243 barrel and a REALLY nice Leupold scope. he scope alone was over $800. He took a deer with it last year at 180 yards. Thats a pretty fucking good shot with a .243. They don’t have a lot of knockdown power, but they are accurate as fuck!
I just went shooting over the weekend. Shot a:
Springfield Armory XD 45
Glock 19
Whalter P22
Taurus 9mm
Fun but expensive
know anywhere I can shoot my Mosin-Nagant? It uses 7.62x54r ammo. Goes through steel plates like butter.
pretty sure you can shoot it at the range on NF Blvd, out near sabreland. Give them a call and ask, but I’m almost positive they told me I could shoot my SKS there which fires the same round.
Your SKS fires 7.62 x 39mm
^^good call. I seen 7.62 and didn’t pay attention to the rest.
You can shoot any non-magnetic rounds at NF, and he will check it. So if you are shooting steel cored surplus you will need to go somewhere else. Somewhere that isn’t a total rip off to shoot at.
Odds are you won’t be able to shoot your mosin at NF. All of the surplus 54R is steel cored, but you could buy some new barnaul or wolf.
You will need to join a club with an outdoor. Ten-X has a 200 yard outdoor range, and is only $80 (ish) a year for a membership.
If you can’t shoot iron sights out to 300 meters then you need to spend some time at EA rod and gun with the CMP guys.
This is unpossible with a diopter sight based on the above quote
nice score
not to mention that Niagara gun range is fucking expensive.
does any one know where to get some 223’s relatively cheap? ( no wolf garbage please )
What is the reasoning behind that?
He used to let me shoot the AK with steel ammo at his old place.
He says he is afraid the pin is going to come back and kill someone. I think/know that the few thousand rounds of armor piecing rounds I put down range fuct his back stop.
He kicked me out for rapid fire lol. Dude doesn’t mess around.
locally, BGC seems to be the cheapest currently. There’s a place in Rochester that someone on here pointed me to, but they were more expensive than BGC surprisingly.
BGC isn’t selling the 1000 round cases anymore. But they are selling 100 rounds for $41 if I remember correct. I may be going there on lunch, so if I do I’ll take a look for you.
The last time I was there he said someone was shooting some surplus ammo and a pin ricocheted(sp?) back at the glass, so he was checking everyones ammo, lol.
Yes - they sell the PMC for the $41 which is a decent price.
Don’t forget the tax… it comes out to over .50 per round from the BGC
I just picked up 500 rounds of brass 223 from sportsmansguide for .37 per round shipped. I think they still have some, but if not, I think they had some on strippers for another .05. Those are good prices… you will be hard pressed to find non-crimped brass 223 for under .50-.60 right now.
I picked up 100 rounds of 7.62 x 39mm FMJ. 9.99 for 20 lol.
I blame the gypsies.
