Also picked up this cheap 78’ CB750 Super Sport. Only really bought it as it’s matching years as my CB550 plus, it’s a SS.

so when I told you to run the rear brake hydro you thought it was too bulky and too complicated for a simple task…

came out cool…now you see why I suggested it?

You think a master/slave is too bulky and complicated? I think this looks fuckin’ sweet and it should work pretty well, and realistically, it’s only one more component than a hydro disc.

Can change pedal ratios easily by swapping out the master. Come in tons of sizes and can be had as NASCAR takeoffs for very little money.

Lastly, in a sea of generic CB cafe builds, it’s pretty hard to do anything unique. I’ve never seen a setup like this (not saying it doesn’t exist), but at least it’s not another “me too.”

I don’t doubt it for a second. He was showing me all these pictures of awful linkages to pull the rear brake arm stressing about how to do it and I said “just convert it to hydro” and he said you suggested the same.

that’s right. LOL. we’re doing cable to hydro conversion on the cb360 for the clutch. I’m a mess.

Once it’s wired with a few other odds and ends, it will be coming back to my shop to tear all back apart for some revisements then to prep for final assembly.

This is one of the trickest 70’s Honda’s I’ve seen to date. Love what you two are doing @newman @GV1390

Between Saturday night and all day Sunday the following was done:

Shifter side done, tail light mounted, internal throttle assembled, coil packs and rear reservoir mounted, kickstand modified, muffler tag holes welded/sanded down, fancy C5 ignition system install initiated. Can’t thank @newman enough throughout this entire build, he’s been really coming through as of late. Stoked to see how it’s panning out so far!
