I disabled it awhile ago, seems most wall posts were people trying to brag or some kind of lame drama in their life. Besides finding some lost high school friends from texas, it was useless.
if you’re an introvert and not involved in any business or activities that can be enhanced by social networking then facebook would be of no use to you. however, most people who criticize it are just stupid and wrong.
facebook is a hyper-efficient personal branding tool, the best there ever was.
As a case in point, i have many colleagues (including VP of HR), franchise partners of CARSTAR, passive acquaintances and bings.ca clients whom i have never met as friends on facebook. if you watch my profile you would think i was a dedicated family man with his priorities in order and good values… the truth is i’m a total arrogant douchebag… facebook is awesome 
Or see how Newman uses it to make everyone else feel like shitty boring losers, which most people actually are. Without facebook it would be difficult to be that ‘in your face’ about how awesome life is… in fact, how could you do that without facebook? you cant simply walk around telling everyone around how boring and shitty they are compared to you… you’d get punched or something… FB is a passive platform for disseminating awesomeness
I’ve also done a fair bit of business through FB and kept in touch with people that are not worth calling now but will be someday. It’s important for that kind of thing.

My wife facebooks for me mostly. When I travel I put pictures up… sometimes I find it useful most of the time I don’t.

I’m watching a good portion of my female friends list go through the 4-step decline in facebook friend quality. Engaged -> married -> pregnant -> kids. Those will make most facebook friends suck pretty hard in my opinion. I think the pregnant stomach pics might even be worse than the kid pics. yuck.

I’ve come close to deactivating it,family would bug the shit out of me though. It has its cons,the pros outweigh it though and it can be tweaked to ones liking,I may utilize it more this year for its business potential.
I am on all the social media sites. FB, Twitter, Google+, Myspace, LiveJournal, and LinkedIn. All for different purposes. I can’t deactivate my facebook cause I have a few apps that use facebooks API and I may need to modify them at some point in time. I also manage various fan pages. I just got rid of a bunch of high school friends and people whom I generally dislike. My privacy settings are set so only certain people can view certain things…I hide some people from my feed. It’s not as bad as people make it out to be.
Bing, I tried to get Drew to sign up plenty of times as there are god knows how many pics of his car on there. He won’t budge, he’s stubborn.
I do like that I can keep in contact with most of my family in Italy and my aunt and uncle in Cali.

To be honest I’m on the verge of deleting mine, I’m sick of seeing drama and stupid updates, all people do is bitch and whine. Also people post that they are bored all the time. If your bored go fucking do something no one cares that you are bored. Every time I post a status I get a million sacriders and people commenting and liking everything I do (family, hs friends, coworkers, etc). Another thing everyone is mentioning is keeping up with deleting people it’s too much and everyone finds their way back…
On a side note it is a good way to keep in touch with people that live far away, etc
^same reasons i got rid of mine, stupid drama, and the creepers, (ex’s) causing shit on facebook. its stupid, it runs peoples lives. I dont wanna no what ur doing every ten minutes thanks. But i have lost lots of friends from deleting it as it does keep u in touch with everyone, but im glad i got rid of it.
