i do like marks civic for how smooth the shifter is and how linear the powerband feels, but i’d have to say i’d never buy one with all the horror stories i’ve heard here and elsewhere. i’ll stick to my german turds.

just becuase you had bad luck doesnt mean they are all junk, I dont think there is another 4cyl that only needs 10psi to run 10’s

Idk what Tricia’s case is, but I’m sure it’s not because they’re “junk” motors. Best motor Honda has produced, and has been proven by many people to be very very stout.

well I figured it out its not intermit. heres what happens, I start the car when its cold, it makes the loud ticking, then as the car heats up it quiets then after about 4 minutes the noise is gone, no tick at all, then Ill drive for about 10 minutes with no noise at all then the noise comes back. So in my opinion its gotta be something to do with temperature or oil pressure, I dunno but its going to Honda on Tuesday, oh and they said there was a code saying there was no “pcm communication” whatever that means, and every now and then my ABS, BRAKE, and VSA light will come on, but if I turn the car off and back on it goes away, and it pulled “pcm relation” failure codes. This car seems to have a lot of issues. Im glad to know that none of it can be blamed on “abuse” u cant abuse a computer lol and theres no bent valves so theres no “over-revving”. We will see soon hopefully

My RSX did the same electrical shit.Then it blew up.

Im not sure why ur even asking these questions, if u had read the previous page or two your questions would have been answered. Also the “resolution” to my car problem will come this week hopefully, Honda gets it on Tuesday. I was simply just posting in this thread in hopes that maybe someone else has dealt with it before, thats all.

Gils isnt in the Top 20 shops in the US for no reason. No offense but there is no reason to slam Gils, the techs there are very good. If Foggs got a few brake jobs that came from Gils doesnt mean that Gils is full of idiots. I would trust Gils with my car more than I think I would trust Honda.

Abuse has nothing to do with my cars problems. I take very good care of mine and something happened. Its not a bent valve, they are leaning more towards a rocker arm or a cam bearing which would not be caused by abuse.
