New Lexus GS 330 with AWD is 45K and will be a very nice daily IMHO.
Or an Acura RL for a bit more.
or an SUV, I would go for the X5 with the 4.4L

i have the non-turbo legacy and i can’t say anything bad about it except it’s slow as piss. i’ve seen the turbo version go so i’d vouch for it. Also would throw a +1 for the RL, we know hondas are trustworthy vehicles.
How about an Infiniti G35x? Price is well within budget, it is AWD, and certainly luxo enough.
EDIT: Priced one out, and fully loaded with Nav and all the goodies it comes to $41760.
