TPGSR was right pretty much from the get go
The other lappy that was connected to the same cat5 line was perfectly fine, but we tried a new run and this computer loves it.
It was the fucking wire the whole time, and i ignored it because the other computer it was connected to was fine
Same wire just switching from computer to computer

Chipset on other computer does better at error checking?

don’t worry yourself over it, I have seen that happen a million times working help desk.
People refuse to believe it could be the cable. They laugh at us for suggesting it, then they are REALLY surprised when it works.
hahaha and hence why I hate these types of networking issues…good to hear things are getting in order
