Hey.....Alberta Bound

Hello everyone,

Got news yesterday that I’ll be off to Cold Lake :help in June for my posting, so I’d thought I’d join.

I own an 02 blackout Spec.

Ahh Cold Lake is not THAT bad. It is kind of a hick town still.

Welcome to Alberta.

And it is only 2.5 hours to Edmonton!

Welcome! Nice to see another Spec 5 around here.

Hows the down pipe treating you :E

So far its been a great paperweight. Just waiting for the snow to melt so I’ll probably get it on after spring break.

BTW, did you just use the stock spring bolts for the connection to the header?

I didn’t use the spring bolts on mine, they’re just regular straight bolts. Of course, I have MMI’s, so that makes a difference in the engine movement too…

I didn’t use the spring bolts for mine, I believe I sent you a couple of extra bolts that I used to attach it to the header, but I could be wrong (It’s been a while since I sent that to you) What other mods do you have done to your spec?

Welcome… Hope to see you out at the Meets this summer…

No, I didn’t recieve any hardware. I bought new ones from the dealer.

I have a bunch of parts awaiting installation. After my March break, or when the snow melts, I will slap them all on:

SSA Header
MR Midpipe
Stromung Catback
Hella Horns
Nismo RSB
BFG KDW2’s.

:E

Edit: Just ordered ES MMI’s. Its gonna take forever to install all these parts all at once. Probably will feel like a whole difference car, mabye. :stuck_out_tongue:

The time has finally come. I am leaving this fucking shithole province on Wendsday. No more traffic, no more humidity, no more smog, no more fat, stupid drivers (mabye) . Hurray for Alberta and cheap insurance!! :partyman:

You want cheap insurance than you want to go to sask! But its still not bad here compared to elsewhere. Anyway when you get here I hope you enjoy it!

Insurance here is cheaper than BC and Sask if you have a clean driving record. My premium for my car here in Alberta is nearly $500 less than a car I had in Vancouver 3 years ago that was worth $800. Then again, I’m older than the average dude on here too!
