Are the balljoints and control arm bushings all good?
P/S lca bushing that was JUST replaced has softened and has play in it, but nothing TOO crazy. told em to get OE but he rather have the API cuz it was cheaper…:facepalm
Tampon it is…
Well I guess his driving skillz are broken. I shall have to collect this vehicle as my own. :lol
:lol
So does anyone have some real input or is this gonna be a typical shift thread…
Hey, I tried all I could think of. If its not a bushing, or bent control arm, I dont really know. How wide are your tires? Running a 205/50r15 on mine, with no PS made it pull with the grooves in the road alot. Does it do it on the highway also? If its a b18b, its not putting crazy power down, so its not that. Motor/torque mounts are all good?
I don’t have tourqe mounts in mine and it’s’fine. Does the rack have play in it?
Rack is fine. Motor mounts are my next guess
what about the lca bushings man …
there would be accident weekly thread!!
How much tourqe does your car make smokin?
mine makes 610 on 100 shot
try swapping the tires, need new tread? did the new alignment exaggerate the natural pull? maybe need to toe out a touch or something. alignment and tire pressures are the only thing I could think of. also if your diff spins one tire more…
530rwtq on a 100 shot. 379rwtq N/A
I don’t know these hondas well, but I’ll assume they have equal length halfshafts up front. Assuming that, torque steer is typically caused by unequal torque bias from the diff outwards, or lateral movement in the engine mounts causing unequal halfshaft angles.
Lot’s of things can cause the first issue. Very simple to check for the second though so that would be my approach to the matter first.
If though the has unequal halfshafts then that’s a huge culprit right there.
Drastic amounts of torque bias can be checked at the hubs with some time and simple tools if needed.
Does the tranny have some form of LSD in it?
Also assuming both tires are up to spec as well(OD and pressure)
the b series has a half shaft, so equal length axles. i think the d series has some with and some without a halfshaft. unequal length axles even with less power are more prone to torque steer.
just use two hands and try to correct it.
exactly. it was fine.
when matt told me who bought it, my heart dropped right to my stomach.
my gti had unequal length, and i could drive with my knee and come into boost in any gear and it tracked straight.
Replace all the junk rubber/poly bushings with solid/heim joints.
