There is no Haynes Manual first of all. U need FSM to do it.

It’s not that hard, but there are a few tricky screws that u need to know about. Lets hope someone can scan and post a page from FSM that has that info.

look take every thing out you can, and take out all the screws u see… drop the steering wheel, and pull, whereever you feel resitance, look for a screw there… bascially this is what i remember:

To drop steering colomn there are 2 12mm nuts and 2 12mm bolts u can loosen the nuts and take out the bolts, the steering rack will rest on the 2 nuts after you loosened them.

The instrument cluster has 3 screws itself and like 2 screws on the top of the bezel and a couple on the bottom and some clips.

you have to take out the glove box to get at some screws around the dash… oh and you have to take off the centre console to get some of the screws out… what else is there…

oh im pretty sure right on the top by the windscreen you have to remove some plastic and there are some screws there…

make sure to check underneath and remove all the panneling under there thats not molded to the dash (part of the dash), like hte lower cover, glove box, instrutment panel , radio etc.

The climate control pushes in but hte radio pulls out

Remove every screw/clip you see if u get into a snag I have a 1990 Factory Service Manual for Sale, and that gives you step by step procedures on how to strip and rebuild your car from bottom up. It also has a huge section on problem diagnosis. PM me if your interested.

Its not that hard. Except when removeing the gage the piece behind the steering wheel. To get that out just loosen the two bolts that hold the steering callum in place. And yes there is a Haynes Manual I have one. Go to canadian tire and ask them to order one, they can have it for you next day.

^^^ wow, for some reason i always thought that it doesn’t exist.

Sorry for the incorrect info on my part. When i had my old 240 i tried to find one, and they said that it didn’t exist, which is why i had this idea stuck in my mind.

I always find those manuals to be useless pieces of shit. They go in depth about relatively easy things and they show you how to rebuild your engine, but some of the more difficult items are just glossed over.
