yea, i am pretty sure they are all hyped that their oil rigs are getting fucking pounded, and they have to stop production of what keeps them in business.
i was referring to the fact that they potentially r making more money, and the refineries being destroyed im sure will be reimbursed. i guess i wasnt clear enough

thats the thing, they wont make more money. well i am sure they will make a little more, but you obviously dont understand the cost of doing business.
these storms are costing them tons of money. paying for repaires, and taxes on land that the plants are on that are doing nothing, and about a billion other costs.
every second they arent pumping oil, they are lossing money.

i was looking at land with wells on it, and no one wants to give up mineral rights, and if they are willing to, they are asking an insane amount of money for the property.

a co-worker here bought a house in holland ~3 mos ago. bought it out of an old woman’s estate for cheap, family wanted to dump it off.
it’s ~4 acres iirc. Well, 2 weeks ago he was wandering about with his new puppy and found something - turned out to be an old nat. gas well cap. Took a few days, but he found out when it was installed, and found that the rights transferred to him w/the sale :tup:
However, he called a few companies: National Fuel, Haliburton (referred to by Nat. Fuel), and other i don’t remember. Basically they told him it would cost him $25k+ to begin harvesting any of the odorless, colorless goodness. Just for labor & basic equip. :tdown:
