… I never had my electric dryer hooked up to go outside…
I run the humidifier 24/7 in the winter anyways. Cant be that bad. Go for it!
this isnt serous is it?
:fail:
Just buy an electric space heater.
That’s what I was getting to…
apparently he didn’t understand what i meant though…
fixed
maybe its time to move back home with mommy and daddy, its ok though your family will know you fail at life when they come over and see your “heating unit”
My old apartment came with a washer/dryer and they used an indoor vent like this http://www.amazon.com/LTF-Supurr-Flex®-Lint-Trap-Kit/dp/B00009W3HD/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
It wasn’t so bad because the forced air heat made the air bone dry so this added some humidity. I thought it was weird, but I lived there for a few years with no issue.
Get rid of the electric dryer and dry the clothing in the microwave.Problem solved.
my mom always did this in the winter months
Damn beat me to it. lol
+1
I ran one of these in the house we rented for over a year. The moisture isn’t really a problem with forced air heat. You do get a bit of laundry smell though which was why we stopped using it. If money is really tight I’m sure you could live with the smell though.
Yea, window plastic is going up this weekend for sure.
It didnt change the temperature much last night, mainly the room that the dryer is in and a little bit in the kitchen.
no running around in shorts this winter lol.
or you know what else you can do? run heating duct all over the basement ceiling then out the vent…so your floors are heated in when the dryer is on like radiant heating
or better yet
run it piping all over your room and vent it out then you have toasty room when dryer is on. lol
yes do this, so when lint builds up in the long runs it eventually backs up and catches fire.
Fuck all this noise. Just burn your clothes.
you dont want lint back up, our old dryer was a pile, bought a new one and it wasnt drying clothes properly.
Ended up having lint back up all the way to the roof, from previous owners and us combind, was never cleaned when we moved in, and we over looked it i guess.
Just turn the heat on 60% and enjoy, the bill wont be horrible for 60º
One of those fire pits in side the living room and leave 2 windows open?
X…
i don’t think “frugal” was exactly the correct word on this one…
 You guys are acting like he asked if he could run his BBQ grill in the house.
As was stated by a few people able to think about this before just spouting BS…
- There are lots of products already on the market to do this.
- Don’t do it unless the dryer is electric.
- You will get some laundry smell, but if it’s not that much.
- Moisture isn’t really an issue since WNY winters, especially if you have forced air heat, are extremely dry.
