I love cominig home to find my dads truck missing

So im watching the house & my moms dog while they are at the beach(cominig home today). I get home late last nite and looked on the side road. At first I was like WTF, the truck isnt there. First instinct was stolen, but its a POS 94 ranger my dad uses to haul stuff, that and my area has like 0 crime. 2nd thing I thought was, fuck, it rolled down the road(its a hill) into the neighbors or in the road and got towed as it was parked like a car length up the road

So I go inside, message on answering machine. Local police officer… leaves the most vague message I have ever heard in my life. “This is officer XXXX, calling about the blue dodge on Harris drive, someone needs to come with a key and move it. THere is probably going to be a 60 dollar fine, if not it will be towed.”

Imeadately I know whats going on… or at least I think so. There has been construction over on that road last summer and I used to park the peon there before and when my 2 car driveway was being built. I used to get woken up by neighbors that walked in my house and banged on my door, or my mother calling me at 7am to go move my car. Now since officer asshat was very sparse on WTF happened… im sitting here waiting for a call back from someone in the department. :hs:

so…was it parked legally?

Nope lol, but its always parked over there. Cops arent that pissy about it till they need to be. My neighbors car is usualy parked right next to it. After talking to my father he said my uncle was supposed to come get it. But, i dont have a clue what nite that was. Cop i spoke to was STILL vague as hell about wtf happened. Said someone complained they couldnt get up the road. I dont have a clue if it drifted down a little or what, like i said, i wasnt here thrus night or yesterday morning, but a friend stopped to let the dog out and she didnt say anything about it.

THere is a ordinance that says you cant park your car on the road, sadly everyone does it around here. That used to be my dedicated parking spot due to not wanting to get blocked in by 3 other cars in the single car drive way. Oh well, my dad knows, and I cant seem to get ahold of my uncle lol.

wtf dom… your neighbors are assholes… we’ve been parking there and on the street for over 10 years!!!

well, found the story out for real. One of the neighbors up that street just came over and told me. Seems his neighbor was moving, and had one of those big mayflower rental trucks. COuldnt make the turn with the truck in the way. THere for they called the cops and had the car removed.

Sonny, the things down at Yeurechkos lol… wwonder if he will give us any leeway on this or not. Its not the cops fault really, we parked there and someone couldnt get by.

If it was there overnight, you’ll probably have to pay towing and storage unless they give you a break.

Convienently their not in right now… i know the owners son from HS… he graduated with Sonny. Wonder if he will even remember my parents.

dom, he should… just try to get ahold of dave directly… you know he’s going to jew you for something though :D… that sucks… i guess it was bound to happen since it never has. -sonny

bend over and take it. police calls usually are 125 hook up 3 bucs a mile and prob 35 storage. a day. now that its been there what 2 nights your at 70 or 105+ towing and milage. sucks.

you cant park on the street (whitehall) on my street but if you go behind my house to the busier street (baldwin now) you can park on that street. damn boro’s

Don’t get me started about the crap that Whitehall boro pulls. Had I known all the BS that I’d have to put up with I would have bought a house someplace else.

I grew up in Whitehall and always parked on the street and never had a problem with the cops. :dunno:

I live right off of Baptist, near Cool Springs and there is no street parking between 2am and 6am. I’ve got a big driveway so that isn’t my problem, mostly it’s the code enforcement guy that’s always complaining about the height of my hedges but he won’t tell me how high they can be. The ass won’t even stop out at my house to talk about them but he loves to send me letters in the mail threatening to fine me. The other problem I have is with the lack of police patrols on my street, the excessive speed of people cutting through the neighborhood and the fact that I can’t get a stop sign installed at the intersection that I live at. I had to jump through all kinds of hoops just to build a garden shed but nobody worries about potential traffic accidents.

not to be a dick or anything, but I owuld be pissed if someone was illegally parked and I was trying to move, especially after paying movers 100’s of dollars.

yeah umm not to be a dick or anything… but thats why your rent a u haul and move the shit your self and stop being a fucking pussy. k thx bye

^ lol

agreed

We always park there, and my neighbor whose house its next to parks like right behind us The road is one house down. If I was home friday morning I could have moved it… but I wasnt. either way, my dads gotta pay out the ass now. Hoping the guy will remember us and give us a break. The cop was still a dick on the phone tho.:greddy2:

It would have been nice if the people that were moving would have stopped down a few days BEFORE they were going to move and let guys know about the truck and asked if you guys could have parked some place else. I guess a little common courtesy is too hard for most people to extend.

Eh…it;s bullshit,no matter how u look at it.

agreed

lol hey dom i didnt know that was u its Tito
